White Labs PurePitch Yeast/Starter blowing up

Hey all,

The last 2 starters I have made have completely blown up on me, messy for sure. This pic was earlier in the day, it's way messier now

Is this due to the new PurePitch or has something else changed?

I have brewed nearly 100-5 gal batches so not new to the sport

A little fermcap should keep that in check

Wow. I've used the pure pitch for several starts and haven't seen that explosive of activity. I do add a drop of fermcap when boiling so maybe that is why.
