Whirlfloc tablet How Do You....

I plan to brew today and have read that I only need 1/2 Whirlfloc tablet the last 10 minutes before flame out. My question is, how do I get a 1/2 tablet? I tried to cut one in half with my pill cutter and it fell apart. It's pretty soft.

Home brewing brings about the "creative" sides of us.

Simply add roughly half of the crushed tablet. Save the other half for future batch.

I would highly recommend Irish Moss. Much simpler to use, just add about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp with 10min left and then chill quickly and you will have no problems.
