So, I plan to begin freezing my yeast. But for my starter container I use a 1 gallon jug. The problem I ran into is extracting the yeast in small amounts. I ordered 3 10 ml glass pipettes from northern brewer. Their flat rate shipping really makes this not very efficient. Is there any other places to order them with more reasonable shipping? Has anyone used these pipettes/have thoughts on them?
Or is there a nice turkey baster or eye dropper that's long and thin enough to fill the same goal that I can get cheap?(think amazon prime)

I got a stainless turkey baster at Bed Bath and Beyond, and it came with an 'injector' needle. I put a silicone oring on the threads and it's good for yeast. A bit sloppy if you don't pay attention but it gets the job done.

Check ebay.

Cynmar, though you might find the shipping there for a small order not great either.

I say either order more stuff or call Northern brewer and ask them if they can't send the pipettes USPS.

Pipettes are pretty simple. You can blow your own with nothing more complicated than an alcohol burner and glass tubing from your local hardware/art supply store.
