Where is the best place to buy a Ranco?

Where should I buy a Ranco? It looks like the price is pretty well fixed at $60.00 on Ebay. Or is there a better place and price to buy? If I have to spend 60 on one I'd just as well buy it from a homebrew vendor. Any pointers?

That's about how much mine was from the LHBS, I say go to your shop if you can't find a better deal than that online. If you can't find one cheaper, I say give the support to your local shop rather than Ebay.

If you keep watching Ebay you can find them for cheap, I got one about a month ago for $40. I did have to wire it myself but I had an extension cord sitting around that I had cut in half with some hedge trimmers, so it didn't cost me anything extra.

If you are into wiring at all, a nice digital Love controller is in the same price range as well.

I agree if you can't save any money support your local home brew store. Even if it cost a couple of bucks more I'd say support your local HBS. If they are like Beer Necessities here in N.Atlanta and charge double what you can find it online for buy it online

Mine was unwired from an eBay "Buy it now" and was $56 shipped. If you can get it for $60 locally, I'd say go for it. Any I found for less than that were people selling used ones. If you have the time/patience you could keep an eye out, but $56 was the best I found for something readily available.

I just picked one up for $51.99 shipped off of eBay using Buy it Now. I got tired of waiting for a "really good deal". I'll still have to wire it up, but I've already got the extension cord.

I still don't get eBay. People pay more in the auctions than they would using some of the store items below the auctions.

I was patiently looking on ebay for a few weeks; I finally got one for $36 shipped. It took some time, but paid off in the end. I wasn't in a big hurry to get the controller though, so YMMV.
