Hey folks,
I just racked off my blackberry wine for the second time, and have quite a bit of headspace in the carboy. Can I top up with a commercial merlot? Thanks in advance!
:mug:

Sure! It's always important to top up whenever there are racking losses. I like to top up with a similar wine if I have one, otherwise a commercial wine is fine.

Thanks Yooper! This is my first batch, and I think merlot will match it nicely. At last racking it was .997, and I like my wine dry.

Sanitized/sterilized glass marbles will also take up the space without altering a thing. Just a thought!
