Hello Fellow Brewers,
I just recently started a Northern Brewer Block Party Amber Ale. However I am not sure the fermentation was entirely successful. This may be due to poor Yeast or fluctuations in Temperature.

After initial brewing I did a Hydrometer reading which was 1045.

If my primary fermentation was successful what should my Hydrometer read now?

Tomorrow Sunday 19th August it will be two weeks fermentation.

1.010-1.016 depending on recipe. You would want to see steady hydrometer readings over the course of a few days. I would give it another week to drop clear. Take a sample. Wait a day or two. Take another sample. If they are the same and in range package it up.

What happened to make you say you weren't sure about the fermentation?
