Yeah, we thought about it (I'm from Red Bank originally so certainly wouldn't have minded moving back), but my hours can be really long/weird to the point that the ferry wasn't really a great/reliable option, and even at it's best would still add almost 3 hours round trip to my commute. And I wanted to be close to gregkoko
we all wanna be close to koko

I went to Troon today for the Crowlers. They will be easier to transit to a tasting in NYC tomorrow but they offered growler fills of the same stuff. Alex did an awesome job today as always though.

The cans are sexy as ****.

Your effort and dedication were both greatly appreciated. And yes, the crowler was sexy! Not as sexy as the guy and gal who brought it though. Heyyyy-o.

Mental Kaleidoscope was delicious. Lots of cinnamon spice (as opposed to the sweet Cinnamon Toast Crunch we got from Sunday Brunch) and coffee.

I will get to the IPA very soon. Thanks again, dude!

Jersey City.

I wanted to be close to gregkoko and raginasian238, so we can drink beer and bitch about hockey. Also, she is an amazing person.

There, that's better. You're welcome.

As someone who has been very critical of Magnify in the past, I feel compelled to announce that, although Copious Amounts of Strawberry Juice was hot garbage, the last few beers I've had from them have actually been quite good. That includes the ipa I'm drinking right now that has marshmallow fluff, vanilla, and lactose. I'm very pleasantly surprised.

Man I can't believe that one sold out so fast on a silent release Thursday. I drove up after work but it was gone by the time I got there at 7. I did get the Baby Sitter one though.

Yeah! The recent Finback collab with (I think?) honey was great.

I though so too. Very tasty. I actually got the last four pack of that one so I guess it evens out. I haven't actually had a lot of Magnify in recent months due to their increased popularity and release times. Too much traffic and hassle.

The line situation has been better too - since they went to weekly releases, I think. Nice post-opening lull right around 7.

Melovino is debuting their low ABV draft meads this weekend. At least I think its the debut. Anyway, I remember somebody talking about wanting to try them, so here be the details:

I don't know what that IPA mead is all about, but I'm into some low abv juniper mead. I'll probably try to stop in on Friday night.

Did you go to this? Obviously if so, how was it?

I did go. I didn't love the hopped meads, honestly. One kind of tasted like semi-flat Sprite, and the other tasted like a sweet, old school IPA. Neither were really what I was looking for. But the other low-ABV options they had, one of which featured juniper, and the other featured blackberries, were excellent.

Beyond the low-ABV options, I also tried a few other things that I really enjoyed. They were also pouring 1oz tasters of their PB&J mead, which was gooooooooooooood.
