I'm wondering what would happen if my roommate who is an extract brewer ( I am a Mazer [Mead maker]) were to pitch one of my EC-1118 as opposed to using a proper beer yeast?

Wine yeasts typically aren't great at digesting maltose & maltotriose...

Cheers!

Nobody will die, so try it and find out. Worst that can happen is you end up with swill that you can't force yourself to choke down. Just remember to report back.

Brew on :mug:
