Use more next time, if it's not enough.

Repeat until your sick of orange peel.
 
I would definitely not use whole citrus peel - dried or fresh - in beer.
Zest? Hells yes - as much as you want to shave.
But pith inevitably adds a garbagey note...

Combine some with good quality vodka, sugar and a few oak spirals. In a month or so you will have a Grand Marnier type cordial.
I know it has nothing to do with brewing but I bet it would be tasty.
