5 lb - Standard 2-Row (37%)
5 lb - Premium Pilsner (37%)
1 lb - Weyermann Carafoam (7.4%)
0.5 lb - Viking Cookie Malt (3.7%) 25 L similar to a biscuit malt
2 lb - Rolled Oats (14.8%)
BIAB mash at 152f 60 minutes
90 minute boil
1 oz Sterling pellets 30 minutes
No-Chill
5.5 gallons to fermenter
Hornindal yeast, 74f, 1 oz Sterling pellets dry hop
Brewer's Friend recipe calculator gives:
Original Gravity: 1.063
Final Gravity: 1.012
ABV (standard): 6.71%
IBU (tinseth): 22.43
SRM (morey): 5.52
So what category or style does this fit into? I was going to call it a Pale Cream Ale but there doesn't seem to be an "official" Pale Cream Ale category, and I dropped the half pound Lactose I was going to put in it. Is it just a pale ale?
