I guess maybe I am one of the gearheads. DD is an 05 Honda Civic. Best car I ever owned. 176,500 miles and drives like new, and yes I am a commuter. In garage is a 1980 F250 truck that I rebuilt. Also a 1969 Chevelle SS that I rebuilt. I drive my truck on my days off to give the Honda a break.

Pics of Chevelle!!?? Beautiful cars. I will eventually get a older car to fix up/ work on. I always loved corvettes so that would be nice, but a gen 2/3 (the earlier gen 3's) are pretty pricey. The later gen 3's aren't bad, I'd just have to fix all the interior, wheels, engine/ trans... pretty much everything except the body, well I guess a paint job might have to be done also... So that would be a pretty good project to redo a whole car! I just love beautiful older muscle cars, esp when they are obnoxiously loud. Straight pipes are a must!

Daily Driver is Chevy Colorado 4X4 extended cab (jump seats are totally worthless, but cargo space is handy). Weekend car is a '59 Triumph TR-3 with a 3/4 race engine. Fun in the sun, but I'm tired of trying to keep it running (the pieces falling off are of the finest British design...). Looking to replace it with an F355 (red of course).

Me: an 04 Mazda RX-8

Her: an 03 Miata SE

DDs for both of us for over 8 years now. I love the rotary in the RX-8. 9,000 rpm redline! It's getting a bit long in the tooth though with almost 127000 on the clock. I might have to part with it in another year or so.

I also have a 96 jeep grand Cherokee 5.8l. And swmbo has the legacy 2012 in black.

And I know this is an old thread but it's relevant and there's no sense in starting a new one

Just got it Saturday, 2011 Nissan Frontier.
Sometimes the wife's Mazda 3.

I had a 2001 Frontier. I loved that thing. I did a lot of hunting back then and it was awesome everywhere I took it. Unfortunately, a tractor trailor rear-ended me and totaled it. The bed was a foot long after the accident!

2001 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner. Just turned 240,000+. Great truck. A real keeper. Mine's like this, except blue.

I don't have a beard, am not a nerdy engineering type and have never sniffed an airlock. Might explain why I don't give two ****s about my mode of transportation.

05 Saturn Ion (me)
10 Toyota Sienna (wife)

Badass.

My friend has an Ion and drives the hell out of it. It's been trouble free.

Just got this. 2013 Prius III. Ours is silver.

And this. 2005 Suzuki C50. First bike.

So how's that Nissan Leaf doing?

?

Since you quoted mine, this is what happened after having it for one month. I was sitting at a stop sign when the box truck tried to make a right turn and slid right into me. Almost 10k in damage, it's all fixed now, and I still love this thing.

Sad. Glad it's fixed.

Besides the Tacoma, I also drive people crazy. :fro:

Drove a Nissan Maxima rental for a week while on vacation. CVT was a little different, but otherwise seemed like a nice car with decent pep (just shy of 300hp).

That must be a fun little go cart. Do you track it at all?

Looks like your neighbor likes Jeeps as well, haha.

Haven't tracked it yet. I keep telling myself I'll do a DE at the local track, or some AutoX, but I just don't have the time. I used to AutoX quite a bit when I had my S2000 a few years ago. Of course back then I worked at sears and had all the free time I could want. So for now it's just a nice weekend/date car that I go for spirited drives every now and then.

And the people across the street just wished they could do the things my jeep could do :) They drive Hummer H2. AKA a gmc truck with 6000 lbs worth of box on top of it.

Beard, on school for mechanical engineering.

Red one is gone now, green one should have 3.5" lift, 31s, and exhaust by summers end.

Modified 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan, rare factory Nismo bumper, sides and rear lip, lowered on coupe/350Z suspension, forged aluminum 19s, long list of underhood, exhaust and suspension mods. Alas, no turbos.
