I work for a non-profit institute. I do public health policy research and program evaluation, mostly focused on tobacco use prevention. I've done a little bit of work investigating beer marketing practices as well.

I'll call it biomedical... technically "biological engineering", but I'm in the biomedical stream (the other one is bioprocessing, much more relevant to beermaking but overall kind of boring to me). The school is the University of Guelph, better known for its agricultural types, but overall not a bad school for engineering.

Graduated last year with a BS in Biomedical Engineering, I am in grad school now.

I'm a log scaler.I measure and grade round logs to determine net content of lumber,veneer,shingle/shake etc.(expressed in board feet).Basically i determine the relative value of each individual log.I've been doing this for the same outfit for 20 years and unfortunately have witnessed first hand the decline of the timber industry in the northwestern US.I'm 10-15 years from retirement but don't think my job will last that long......I truly hope I'm wrong .

As of the last year, I am a stay at home dad. It is the best job that I have ever had.
Before that, I worked in a chemical plant in the mechanical reliability dept.
I have been home brewing only for the past year. I should have started earlier. In my last job I had access to all the stainless steel material I needed, and a crew of welders and fitters at my disposal.

I am not a brown ale fan at all, but heard your Pecan Brown is killer - actually has taste to it (unlike that watery crap from England).

I work for HunterDouglas. I work with all types of systems. The most common are Lutron, Crestron and vantage. Our products don't actually accept instructions from the systems. I program (serial protocol) and troubleshoot the aftermarket (ESI) motor controllers used, for both AC and DC motors.

I have been in the copier industry for over 20 years. Done almost every job in on around or related to office equipment. I am currently an operations manager for a small KonicaMinolta / Oce / Lanier / Duplo reseller. Title means nothing - I still set-up, repair, and deliver equipment. Also do cycle billing, customer service, vendor relations, HR, repo man - you name it. Not a glamorous job but it pays the bills.

sounds fun I get to do alot of PLC programing mainly Allen Bradley now but I useto do alot of GE Fanuc stuff Lots of AC and DC drives as well... its really cool stuff. Do ya still like it? How long you been programing.
