Oh yeah, I'm the bottling line manager at Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company, Kiln, MS.

I like to brew, work on 'finishing' my house, drink beer, and build things in general.

:cross:

I sell cell phones, the horrible beasties.

As for hobbies, the list is too long. Suffice it to say I like to know how to do various and sundry random things. I've often said that the features I have that are most attractive to the opposite sex would be that I can roast coffee, butcher meat, and brew beer...;)

it's a tough job but somebody's gotta watch them! :D

Despite my moniker, I work in a factory. I make Nomex, so that might clue you in on who I work for. I took the 'factory' path after getting frustrated making peanuts building hours for a flying job. I am working on a B.S. in accounting at the moment and if all goes well, within a year I'll be working in corporate, living in Delaware (closer to SWMBO's dad) and doing some flying on the side.

Hobbies: besides flying I'm interested in sailing. SWMBO and I would love to take sailing vacations in the Caribbean (or just move there altogether).

I work for the feds. I'm a soil scientist and GIS specialist for the US Dept of Agriculture. I work mostly in the Soil Survey program maintaining and updating soil maps, mostly in Michigan but my office also covers parts of Indiana and Illinois.

For the yooperbrew: I worked in Alger, Delta, and Schoolcraft counties before moving below the bridge.

The short version I usually tell people, is I dig holes and make maps.

My hobbies include: biking, reading, gardening, hiking, camping, fishing, geocaching, and following Michigan State sports.

Bromley, you ever come across a drilling company in the field called Keck. I used to work for them making ground water measuring equipment when I thought I wanted to be an electronic technician.

I work for a crime scene unit as a support personnel for our CSIs. Mostly I pretty up their field sketches on the computer for court. We also do a smattering of other graphic work when we can get it. It is definitely less exciting in the office than some people seem to think. Our only excitement is actually when we are called out to map scenes with our total station.

I waste a way my free time with the Wii and PC games, read sci-fi/fantasy when I can and, in theory, I am an amateur astronomer, fisherman and target shooter.

I work as an Animal Control Officer in Maine. It combines two of my favorite things, animals and telling stupid people what to do.:) It’s a fun job, except for the animals that bite part. And the best part is it is very independent, I don’t have any one looking over my shoulder. (I’m out on the road all day, and my office is off site from the police station.)

My hobbies are being out side. I like to hike, bike, snowshoe and just lay in the sun with a book and a cold beer.

Im a bill collector (sub prime mortgages). ive just recently started venturing into brewing, dont have much under my belt as of yet. i enjoy video games, comic books, sci fi, fishing, hanging out with my fiance and playing with my dogs. i also play music which has been something ive been doing less and less due to conflicting work schedules.

I'm a professional firefighter. I guess that explains why I like to drink beer so much.:drunk:
In my spare time I hunt and fish alot. I also go offroading in my Jeep and my Yamaha Rhino, and hit the river on my Ski Nautique. I guess I'm just a regular old redneck. Maybe I should be making 'shine instead of beer.:D

Dang.

I thought I could chime in as the first professional firefighter. Wildland firefighter.

Thats what I do. I work for the Forest Service. I travel all over the country all year long. I'm in Oklahoma right now.

When I'm at home, I brew, I woodwork, a try to keep a houe up & running while only being there 4 or 5 months a year. My hobbies list is pretty short. Almost forgot to mention the family farm that occupies a big portion of my time....

I'm a network engineer, pretty much anything TCP/IP, routing, switching, etc. (v4 and v6), I also do some work in data security and UNIX services (they all kinda go hand in hand).
A few of my pastimes are submission grappling (i.e. Brazilian jiu jitsu), cycling, a little boxing on occasion and hanging out with SWMBO and the dogs, and, of course, homebrewing.

:( ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I am a Salesman for a Used part company here in Spokane
nice little family run place it first opened it's door in the 1930's

right now it employs 200 people and takes up 54 acres of land

and on the weekends I am a Soldier in the Washington National Guard

I have served 8 years in the Army 5 of them I spent overseas

and getting ready for my 6th year :)( yeah)

I have a degree in French and International Relations but currently provide desktop support at one of the top medical schools in the country. It doesn't pay all that well but it's low stress. I set my own schedule and get to wander around campus. Great benefits too... When I lived in Minneapolis I did computer support over the phone in french and english, but couldn't find a french-speaking job when I moved here 6 years ago.

Hobbies: I'm a "taper" - I record live music performances. You can check out some of my recordings on Archive.org. It's free to stream and/or download. I travel all over the midwest to record music. Travelling is great as it gives me the opportunity to try new breweries and play new disc golf courses. I read a lot since I have an hour per day on the train commuting to/from work. I also spend lots of time in the kitchen cooking. SWMBO trains German Shepherd dogs for a dog sport called Schutzhund. It's a lot like police dog work - I'm sure you can find some videos on YouTube to check it out. Anyway, she's really good at it and we've had dogs compete at the National and North American championship level. We just had a litter of puppies a few days before Xmas and they're keeping us busy! Even though the dogs are 'her' thing, both our lives tend to revolve around all things canine. Right now we have NINE dogs at our house!!!

I can identify with that. My wife is a vet and she also does humane education and training. We have 2 dogs and 5 cats so our world kinda revolves around that as well.

Nice. I'm a former taper myself. Spent about 8-9 years recording shows. You do any stealth work, or just keep them flying about the crowd?

Im a "Solution Consultant" which is the best possible way of saying I work at a hardware store. But more inportantly Im working on my degree. Looking to get into GIS. Possible involved with real estate but keeping my options and my mind open. For the first time in my life Im f^cking excited as hell about school and cant wait to get a job to support my brewing habit.
My other hobbies include reading about and hoping to jump into linux. Also naked fun with my red head.:ban: ;) :D

I am a biologist by training, and hold a position as an Associate Professor at one of the larger research-oriented universities here in Canada. By night, I try to play amateur microbiologist (aka yeast wrangler) in my basement. ;)

As for other hobbies, fly fishing is my passion. Brewing is fun in the winter, but I love the outdoors, and use every free minute I can fishing or hunting when the weather is warm. I also recently started entering homebrews in competitions -- nothing to show for it so far, but my beer is improving. I am also studying for the BJCP exam this spring. For a research project at work, I got pushed into buying some good camera gear and playing photographer, and that is also evolving into a fun new hobby.

Last but certainly not least, I am also a happy husband and proud father of a beautiful two-year-old girl who is the center of my life. I am now finding ways to turn my pastimes into family events (which is slowly getting easier!).

I hear ya! I'm looking forward to when my daughter is old enough to engage in activities beyond her current limitations as a 1yo :D

I am a child and adolescent psychiatrist. I did the med school thing and trained like every other doctor, specializing in psychiatry, then subspecializing in kids/teens. I love what I do, in general. The only thing I hate is running a practice. I'm not good at the business end of things...but that's about to end! I've been offered a job as a faculty member at my old medical school. Teaching, again! It's going to be sweet. But the transition will suck, no doubt. Just have to keep my eyes on the prize.

Hobbies: long-distance motorcycling, motorcycle camping, playing with the dogs, reading, cooking,

I am a police patrolman in a 5.4sq mile town outside of NYC. Amateur mixed martial artist, musician, and BBQ/beer enthusiast.

Currently working my butt off to get into the peak of physical shape needed for the county SWAT team. Tough to do when drinking homebrew!

Registered Nurse, right now I'm on a step down telemetry floor, have done medical and cardiac ICU, Nuero Surgery ICU, Supercision, ER, Othopaedics and Kidney transplant. Still trying to figure out what i want to do when i grow up.
My other hobbies are drag rcing/cars in general, golf(8 hcp)guitar and cigars.

Entrepreneur, just brought our first product to market. The Groqit is a portable, inventory computer with a built-in barcode reader.

Cool idea. I could definitely use that for movies. We have about 4 copies of Home Alone. Good job :rockin:

99% of what I record is "open" taping. I hate stealthing and avoid it as much as possible. More than likely I'll skip a concert if I know I won't be able to fly my mics.

Actually my real job isn't all that exciting. Usually when I tell people "I maintain, program and analyze real time physics based environmental simulations", I usually get a blank stare. :tank:
