This barleywine has been aging for almost two months. Today I noticed this:

What is it? Is it anything I should be concerned about?

Almost looks like the beer is settling out into different specific gravities?

Looks ok to me... Could be carbonation or temperature changes in the beer raising some wort proteins and hop particles in to suspension. Are there any funky smells or tastes? If not I wouldn't worry.

Temperature could be it. I raised the temp in my chest freezer from 64F to 68F for a Belgian wit. I didn't think that four degrees would really make a difference at this point, but maybe so.

It looks like the beer on the top is clearer, so you are actually able to see some matter, it might be that it looks like that all the way down, you just can't see the particles since the beer isn't as clear further down. Looks like hop/grain matter.
