What are the "good" ones? I use these.

A thick capsule would be better unless you just swallow the gummy whole, even then who knows how quickly it would dissolve in your stomach. Costco in my local sells one a white gel football shaped capsule i don’t recall the brand and it isn’t on their website.

Perhaps it is time I look into something different : )

Brunch with the little woman and the dog of course.
What special dish did you make the dog?
We got into the habit of eating at the coffee table in our house. Our cat recognizes when I make BBQ hamburgers so I take a bite, give him a pinch of meat, I take a bite, and so on.

That's pretty much the way we do it. He also cleans the plates, lol.

Edit: I'm putting this at the top since I had no idea what was going to happen down at the video. It looks like you'll be taken right to where I was talking about.

I love animals.
Yeah, the cats clean plates also but not so thoroughly as a the pups do.
My wife pointed out one time, "We have animals, actual animals in our house, just roaming around, doing what they do, eating and interacting with us." I don't know if I capture the spirit of the statement with what I paraphrased but it stuck with me and every once in a while I look at our cats, newly, and go, "Yeah, we do have animals just running the show."
Dogs and cats sure spruce up the place. We adore dogs as well, but, alas, they are a young person's game if you want to own a dog larger than a cat.
Below is a worthwhile video on how people are awesome and love their pets.
Google: Then click on "Japanese meal for cats."
I use Firefox--don't know if that makes a difference.
It's totally worth the six minutes or whatever. I'll withhold my opinion on it since I don't want to spoil it.

To keep on topic--and I could have totally posted this already but I'm hoping not--here's a cold-fermented dough, no sugar, fermented for four days. I deep fried 6oz pieces that were flattened to 1/4" and floured before placing them in oil, then I sauced them, cheesed them and put an item or two on top and finished them under the broiler. Ridiculously delicious and the best gimmick for a place I've seen since the Cronut. They're great because you can make them, effortlessly in bulk, and you won't find much, if any, objection to chewy, crispy, flavorful crust.

I think im going to try a twist on Chinese fried sauce noodles. Ive got lean ground pork so i will need to add some lard. Ive got ground bean sauce and sweet bean sauce from Taiwan. I think im going to incorporate some minced shallots and ginger garlic paste into the recipe. Our market was out of daikon. While not traditional a little place near my job used to add it to theirs and i loved it. Onion or shallots are not usually added either depending on the region.

Funny thing about this dish. While its hugely popular in many areas of China and Taiwan....Only 1 damn place within driving distance offers it and ive got several authentic Chinese places near me. Its not even on the "super secret menus". Only place that has it and Lou Ro Fan is a little Taiwan place i found right before all the virus lock downs hit....I was so bummed because the food there is incredible.

Several Korean places serve their version of it but its just not quite the same. The place i used to get it is gone. It was Chinese food but owned by Koreans. They added pork and squid. It was killer. They had it on the super secret menu way back then.

Nailed the flavor. These 2 sauces definitely work if you are looking for this variation. Taiwan vs Beijing vs ect ect.

Pork simmered hard in the sauce for 30min until it reduced enough for my liking.
