Eye-round was on sale.

MMMM Merry! That looks good. I love to get those on sale, roast, and slice thinly for sandwiches, freeze in 3 oz. baggies - they defrost quickly and are nice and tender when we use the electric slicer for super-thin slices.

Last night we had baby back ribs from the free-range, apple-fed

half pig we bought last year - succulent, tender, and really tasty! I cooked them in the Instant Pot, then put them into the air fryer to crispy up and set the sauce. Sliced avocado with vinaigrette and also homemade SF BBQ sauce on those ribs.

Boston baked beans, Boston brown bread, and Boars Head franks.

Rancho Gordo beans.

Man that brings back childhood memories - B & M baked beans, spiced up with bacon and whatever else my mother put in them, B & M canned brown bread - open up both ends, push the bread "loaf" out of the can, slice into 1" thick rounds, and hot dogs, cut up just like that! Yum!
