Gordon Ramsey is polishing up his resume after reading that brilliant treatise on cooking.

A chinese friend of mine laughed when I told her I bought a book of wok recipes. Apparently, there is no such thing - according to her, everything can be cut into bite-sized pieces and stir-fried. Pretty much what Robert said above about pot pie.

Exact Recipe:

• Whatever meat you've got
• Whatever else you've got
• Place in baking dish, cover with mashed potatoes, and put in the oven long enough.
I always get a kick out reading the comments at those sites like allrecipes.com. It never fails that someone will change at least half the ingredients in the recipe then give it a low rating because it was awful.

At first, I thought this recipe would be perfect on there but then I realized you would still have people posting stuff like, “I substituted mashed celery root/cauliflower/parsnip because I am keto and it this didn’t taste like my mom’s shepherd pie at all! If I could give it less than 1 star, I would!”

“Your mom would probably dope slap your foolish arse if you dared tell her you tried to recreate her Tuesday supper using that slop.”

This always cracks me up. Kind of like people on yelp rating a brewery and the first line of the review is either “I don’t really like beer” or “ I didn’t try the beer”.

I don’t like to stretch so, if I happened to take a yoga class I would not comment on the quality of the yoga.

I didn't handle reading the allrecipes.com comments as well as you; they were a sure-fire way to drive me crazy. Can't people just make the damn dish as written for their first attempt? Once you change it, you're not making it and shouldn't be allowed to rate it.
Then there's the one person out of a hundred on a well-rated recipe, who obviously cannot cook, complains that it didn't come out.
It's been a big beef for me for a long time. It's also why I will never ever expose my recipes to the abuse they would receive on a site like that. I can only shudder what people would do to my French dip recipe--"I substituted shredded bologna because I don't like beef" or "I didn't have any beef stock so I added some salt to water--yummy and hubby really loved it!"
The above is not as angry as it sounds.

I agree that its frustrating, but at the same time, the comments are just satirically comical. Its kind of like watching ******* or Jerry Springer. Its bad, really bad, but for some reason you just can't help but laugh.

Gotta love the, I burnt it and dont know how to cook, the recipe sucks.

No pictures but a few nights ago I made what's becoming our favorite. It's chicken breast dipped in egg and then panko and pan fried.

We do this as well. It's good.

Know what else is really good? Boneless/skinless chicken breasts covered with mayonnaise then dipped in grated pecorino Romano cheese and baked in the oven. Sounds weird? Yep, but trust me on this. Tender, juicy, and very tasty. No hint of mayo at all.

I do something similar with fish. We call it pepper-fin or pepper-fish. Usually albacore or cod, but sometimes rockfish or any hearty cut.
Julian onions and jalapenos or serranos and sautee until tender. Fry the panko fish and toss with the onions and peppers. Serve over rice, noodles or steamed veggies.

Update:
Season the panko with black pepper and salt Sometimes slap yo mamma or similar or use the spicy panko.

And minced garlic with the peppers and onions.

Not going to eat this tonight now, but will have it some time this week. Wild mushroom lasagne. Very simple, just fry off some onion, garlic, loads of mushrooms with some dried ones and its liquor, wine, season, hoy in a load of bechamel and make it up with some parmesan chucked in on each layer. Added some cheddar on top too

Anyone have or use the new june oven. Smart oven with camera where you put food in and hit presets and it cooks for you. I think I want one.
