well, it actually showed up yesterday...and i haven't got a chance to pick it up yet...but, a keyboard, so i can keep making an ass out of myself here! :D

Today I opened a packet from Aliexpress that was supposed to be a motor speed controller for a second stir plate build but was surprised with a pair of large gold-colored hoop earrings.

Dispute processed, refund incoming.
Just imagine how some poor lady feels with a speed controller hanging off her ear

Not in the mail, but courtesy of a local pro brewer who obviously doesn't need his homebrew setup anymore. Another piece still coming I think.

Not here yet but got my first order ever of grains from more beer! Got some dark wheat, dark munich caramel 40, caramel 120, carafa 2, roasted barely, and flakes oates. Hallertau hops as well, dont really know what im doing but will try as my first batch.

I bought off NB. $59.99. I’m sure there is cheaper out there but I’m within next day shipping and they’ve always been solid for me.

This is the first time I’ve bought that size. I needed 28lbs for my next couple months worth of brews and at that point it just made more sense to go big. I think the price was the same for 40lbs as it was for 55lbs. Figured I’d just stock up for what should last me the rest of the year.

Immocles, what are you paying for 50 lb bags of 2 row? Im trying to weigh out if I should just get local or do it thru intraweb.

Right now I'd be asking round local commercial breweries - they will have plenty of ingredients they won't need for brewing in the near future, and a desperate need for cashflow. And buying local means fewer hands touching it. Plus in the UK at least, the main homebrew retailers are swamped and are struggling to keep up.

Damn I might hit up my locals then. The LHBS told me 55 tax included for Briess 2 row 50 LB sack, which really isnt bad at all considering i dont have to wait for shipping. Im gonna price him on the General western 2 row and if it compares good to online ill just order from them and see if they can order stuff they dont have in house like German pilsner and belgium pils as well.
