At a really cool Belgian/Locals beer bar in Washington.

Pilsner courtesy of @camonick ...we've all watched it clear and it was worth the wait...a classic pilsner with great bready/cracker malt backbone and balanced noble hop character. Really as good as any commercial pilsner I've ever had. I have a Bitburger Pils clone lagering...I hope it's this good!

Ay, be careful with reusing those New Belgium bottles. They aren't the toughest/thickest glass. I've got scars on my left hand to prove it. I was opening a bottle once, neck broke, and cut my left hand across three fingers. I didn't know it until I saw the blood.

Enjoying a bit of helles this afternoon. This poor beer spent seventy-four days in primary because all hell broke loose at work. I’ve been drilling into this beer looking for faults, but aside from the fact that it’s a helles rather than a pils, I’m having problems finding evidence of the abuse that I inflicted upon it. I guess you get lucky sometimes.
