Taste buds are funny. This taste like fish to me. Specifically, salmon. I like salmon but ultimately, this will get dumped.

No one knows what a snowblower is down in NC, but regardless, I've popped open a home-brew Westy12 clone in morale support of my northeastern colleagues. It's my first attempt at the Westy12, and the first bottle I've tried - my patience ended when the last of the other batches were finished off. So far, so good.

Also, we head to VT tomorrow (15 hrs by car), so I'm tying to "get ready" for the trip by taking the afternoon off from work, popping the top on this new batch, and comptemplating life without snowblowers or even snow shovels. (Last year we had 0.00" of frozen precip here in Charlotte, NC). Tough to be a "ski bum" when you have to travel that far to experience it.
Hitting any breweries on the way up? Altho if you're skiing, I'm guessing they'll be plenty of good brews at destination.

Nah, not on the way up - but definitely while I'm skiing! If anyone knows of local (VT/NE) brews to try out, I'm open to suggestions. First time in many years skiing in the NE (except for one spring up in Mont Tremblant a few years ago). Normally, a Colorado/Utah skier.

HB MO/EKG SMASH. Still pretty young (kegged on Sunday) but tastes pretty damn good. Carbonation and clarity aren’t quite there yet, but will be great in time for Christmas guests next week. Thanks @Immocles for the advice. I just did boil additions with the hops and no dry hop. Balanced and flavorful.
