Seems as if we visit our local Giant Food Store on Saturday only to discover they are out of certain things again.

Anyway, I saw a 4 pack of "Schloss Eggenberg hopfen könig" (I believe I'm being informed Castle hops were used?). Looks different and interesting. Bottom of the 4 pack states "Authentic Austrian Pilsner".

Drinking one now. Very nice pils. Nice head, smooth, great taste. Very good!

Reminds me of a beer I remember drinking from the 1970's. I just can't place it, at least not yet.

Told this before but a couple guys from my homebrew club wanted to go pro. Nearly two years of blood, sweat and tears and they were finally ready for their grand opening on March 16. The very day that Gov. Gavin Newsom closed California. They've gotten by so far selling to-go 4pks, crowlers, and food. Well, yesterday was finally their official opening. I stopped by today and found a line to get in. Once in I got a pint of their pale ale Branch Manager. Hopped with Citra and Amarillo, it's delicious. Worth the wait.

I’m a sucker for weather photography. This is fantastic!
I posted this picture 0EAC1546-DA77-4C06-B660-DA332FDE045B.jpeg in the Random pictures thread. This is looking west while the bulk of the storm was north of me and the rainbow picture above was looking east almost 2 hours later.

Did the head on yours persist? Mine didn’t, and I think mine is oxidized.

Both my clones have the same issue holding any head. There's nothing ingredient wise for head retention. But I don't let lack a good head from enjoying the ride! What's the age?

Wood working done as I to kid proof today in the heat/humidity, time for a local pils.
