First bottle of a 1.5 gallon experimental homebrew. I was going for a relatively strong and quite bitter ipa. The results: 85 Miles DIPA, an 8%, 103 IBU bitter beer bomb. Not really my thing, but a friend of mine is a "the more bitter the better" kind of guy, so he'll get the rest of these.

I've got a 5 gallon batch of coconut flavored milk stout in the fermenter now which I plan on kegging next weekend. As soon as the fermenter is emptied and cleaned I'll follow up by brewing another batch of Irish Red Ale, a favorite in this household.

Just chatted with Dad up in the Sonora area. Asked if he was prepared for the Pineapple Express heading their way. He mentioned they're waiting on getting the generator hooked up to the house with all the rolling backouts. 21st century problems. Cheers to Cali folks! Are we supposed to drink high or low ABV beers early in the day?? I forget this this it is. Wife still in Washington with the boy who's flying back with here Sunday. ER time for him I guess. Life changes in a hurry, enjoy the peace in-between.

DDH Galaxy and Chinook. Not bad.View attachment 655682
Never to early.....

Thanks bro. Glad I got some, how is this year? Seems a deal for a barrel age pint or whatever it is.

Haha, me too, these guys inspire. Maybe one of the best ever here. Dang!
The regular BCBS is $13 here in PA. There’s still some variants here. They are going for $30.

Getting my drink on tonight!
