Did you ever take a pic of your total haul from New England? Whatya gonna do when you run out?

No I never thought about it. I just wanted to get it in the fridge. It was near a grand. I have a bunch of bottles in the cellar to try yet. When I run out? The wife said she wanted to go back to Maine so I guess we will!

A sad day at the camonick house... I got behind in brewing and drank/ gave away too much beer and now all my taps are dry. :(
I have 3 kegged and carbonating and just pitched the yeast into a new stout. So commercial brews for a while.
This one tastes similar to my helles keg that just kicked.

Plumbing is all we did, and that was only after I knocked into one of the galvanized pipes while crawling the house. I fixed it first then debated, but it had to get done...the corrosion was gnarly! Pex'd the house then, small house though so cheap and fast. Everything else internally is as it was in the 20s (except inefficient wall heater installed some decades ago and of course the roof). Electrical quotes are $15-20k, windows are ... I dunno ... we have 36 of them so I haven't bothered getting a quote, and everything else is peanuts compared to electrical and windows.

We had 13 windows. Roughly 10k and that was 10 years ago. But they were all custom windows because in an old house the walls are thicker and the windows are weird sized. If you’re going to do electrical best to tear the walls down to the studs. Ugh. I feel for you.

Noticed that. My next brews are an Okoberfest and a Pliney the Elder clone. You?

I’v been brewing but have a gap in my pipeline right now. I have a Pilsner, Munich Dunkel & Irish Red kegged and carbonating right now. Just waiting for them to clear and get bubbly. Brewed a Guinness Draught clone today just as my stout keg kicked. Have a couple bottles of Helles and my 90 Shilling clone reserved for the upcoming FotHB trade. Should have the other 3 available for offer too hopefully. Have the ingredients for a pale ale on hand also but will probably wait a bit to brew it.

Man, sounds good. Looking at a Dunkle recipe myself. Any favorite?

I’ve only ever had a couple bottles of commercial versions and this is an experimental 3 gallon recipe that I morphed from another one I saw and made a bunch of the changes/ recommendations that were in the comments. The cold flat FG hydrometer sample tasted good... nice and malty.
