For you Iowa guys, we're making a trip out there July 31st and driving from O'Hare eventually to Spencer. I've convinced the wife we need to stay the night in Waterloo, that gets me to Singlespeed. While in Spencer I can hit Okoboji and the two nights in Carroll I can hit Carroll Brewing. If I can get a day trip to Ankeny where should I go, Firetrucker?

Seven day trip to Iowa ends up costing me more than taking the kids to Disney. Once I'm there drinking is more reasonable. Looking forward to great corn and steak and if my brother-in-law has cattle work to do I am the city slicker at heart!

Fort Dodge has a couple of relatively new breweries if you're running Highway 20 west. If you stop let me know maybe I can break away from work for 1.

Depends which route you're taking. if you're going to come across on the north side of the state, Highway 18, you could hit Fat Hill in Mason City, Lake Time Brewing in Clear Lake, and you wouldn't be far from Five Alarm in Lake Mills or Worth County in Northwood.

If you get a chance and you want to try a bunch of local beers, make a trip from Spencer to Algona (bring a DD) and go to Billie Joe's. They've got 36 beers on tap, and as of right now, they've got King Sue, Twisted Galaxy, Pompeii, pSuedoSue, and Supa Sumo, all from TG, on tap. Plus a ton of others.

We are hitting up TimBukBru in Clarion tomorrow, which is our first time going there, which would be right on highway 3. If you are through that area around lunch or supper, hit up Fuel, a restaurant, that has some great pizza and beers.

This HB Hazy IPA is nothing like @Dgallo Milo. Zero O2 transfer and same recipe except Ekuanot. It seems darker then post fermentation. I'm getting bannana, wtf?? Many may know my IPA struggles over the years. This is it..hanging up the raignes...

If you like a DIPA, we brewed a DIPA by Other Half Roc (name might be slightly off).
