With kviek, all things are possible. I (over)pitched a 400ml slurry of Voss Kviek at 3pm in a 1.044 wort and Tilt is showing gravity at 1.018 as of right now, 9 hours later. Theoretically it will be done in the next couple of hours but I’m not sure how long it takes to flocc out.

I know hornindal drops like a ton of bricks. Voss is quite a bit slower.

Darkness!!! I had a varient of that at the brewery. Double chocolate maple truffle or something. The bartender was having problems pouring it with all the adjuncts but oh was it good. The head was actually crunchy.

Looks like that one retained some more carbonation!

Yes it was actually a little over carbed but I love carbonation so it was perfect. It was very good. Now onto this.

Wife just mentioned the firework display we were at in Kyle, Tx last night hit CNN. At the end, could see several going off close to the ground. Near the bottom of my keg of Stout. New Stout went into it's keg today - first all grain Stout so I'm excited. Hit my gravity and it looks right. Now to wait for it to settle in the keg for a bit. Going to be brewing a Fresh Squeezed IPA clone on Monday...

Vancouver tomorrow and then Disney cruise to Alaska with my family starting Monday.

Best part about Vancouver is Wreck Beach during school semesters and more-so when it's hot out (for obvious reasons). Also their is a little pasta place, in the ghetto, that makes the best pasta I've ever had. It's small and has a LONG wait, but worth it.

HB GoodWood strongale 7.5%

Pale ale, three different crystal malts, secondary fermented over toasted juniper blocks (and you can really taste it) Awesome palate, earthy, bit nutty, hint of vanilla and a spice I can't quite put my finger on... All and all a success but it's such a complex and strong taste wise you can only drink one at a time.
