At and ice cream shop... (serves food too)

Awe schnikey. Dude is 18 and life. Last 6 months have been a ride. New vet visit scheduled for next week because of some skin issues. Drink up!!

We just pet sat a 20yr old cat...just a little deaf but otherwise probably healthier than our 15 and 16 year olds.

Looks yummy.

Amazing stuff. Taste like a coconut chocolate pieView attachment 633364

Yum!

With all the layoffs and down sizing over the years we just call ourselves "Red Shirts"..[emoji6]

They call me hardass because they eff me in the ars over and over.

Glass of my first wine kit, a Gewurztraminer. Took a sample for tasting and degassing test. Tastes great already! (But does need more degassing.) I'm bottling later this week. It's actually perfectly clear--that haze is condensation from the cold glass.

What was/is the turnaround time on that?

Long weekend - put up a trellis on our already tall fence on Saturday. Yesterday, we installed what I call a privacy fence which is really just a bunch of plywood we painted to match our trim (light gray) to avoid our looky-loo neighbor from peering through the fence gaps. She liked looking at our koi/turtle which I didn't necessarily mind...the bigger issue was the stray cats that would come through into our yard...trying to deter them.

Anyways...
Haagen-Dav or whatever ASB called it - super sweet stout that tasted like ice cream added to ... ice cream (about the only way to consume that beer without dumping it).

BOC2019 entry into the spiced stout ... struggling to carb in the uKeg (not sure what's up). It's now three days in so I'll pull a sample later today.

And the work...

There's also sixteen feet of it going down the side. I've built frames (on the backside) that screwed into the existing fence. The trellis is fixed to those frames. I've also added a brace where the two sections come together in the midright and a second one on the far left at the corner junction. That's added a lot to the stability, but I'll still need to do something on that sixteen foot long side to help better secure it. The idea is that should we want, we can remove the trellis without fudging up the main fence.

When we're not poor anymore, we'll have someone come paint something on this (perhaps). Also, we're hoping to install a hot tub in that far right corner.

I started the kit on June 2. It is the 10L Vinters Reserve Gewurztraminer kit from Winexpert. I am told it will improve further if I let it age, but it's my first, and I am not wait another 6 months to start drinking it. LOL I will save a few bottles to see how much it changes, but I expect a lot will be gone by the end of summer.

Had a family get together yesterday with four family members who only drink Budweiser. I bought a case and they only drank one but, drank my All Day IPA. Time to get busy and clear space in my fridge.
