Sounds like the holidays with my wife’s family, the “Kowalski’s”
My parents house it was always Polish Sausage, at every holiday. No Turkey at Thanksgiving or Christmas. The exception was Easter. They had Ham and Polish Sausage.

Christmas we usually had an addition of prune to the bowl of pierogies.

Love the Kolachky and Poppyseed Cake.....

Looks more like a barn than a garage ... :D;) ... on the coffee.
We have a very large attached garage. We bought and did a complete remodel on my grandparents farm house. (The garage was the only thing i had a say in) Added the attached garage and added 600 square feet living space above the garage. Bedroom bathroom and living room.

The kruschiki is my favorite! And got to have the fresh kielbasa in addition to the smoked! Can’t wait for the holidays now!

So here's my home brew, bourbon barrel stout, based on Dragon's Milk. I don't recall what makes a stout an RIS. It's 12% ABV or a little more--I'm still enamored with being able to make a beer that tastes good and is higher than 8%.
In any case, it's not bad. I used 12oz of whiskey and 3oz of medium oak spirals. I can't recognize the oak presence but the whiskey flavor is on par with the actual version. I'm not thrilled with the carbonation feel on the tongue but I'm not sure what kind of carbonation I should be looking for since I'm used to the Tripels with that "POW!" when it hits the mouth.
A common malady, which I too possess, is that I keep "trying" the beer in spite of knowing it's supposed to be left alone.
