Sorry to run these two together but I enjoyed the first so much I forgot you guys. So without further ado, 1st was a late hopped IPA by Roughtail brewing out of Oklahoma, and 2nd a

Gose by Anderson Valley.

I’ve never braved the lines, or the cold for KTG, and the timing has never been right for me to score MTL bottles. But, today was awesome. Low key party. Chill music. Great food truck. And Todd pouring MTL. The best RIS I’ve had. Incredibly balanced. Also had the porter, gose, and the bier de meil. Over a great afternoon.

Tod and Galen are good people. I know they post most of their events on FB but I'm not on there I think the last time I was there Galen said they'd be another release around oct. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. They also normally have it on draft a couple of days after

Great people. I’m pretty sure they personally said hello to everyone there at some point today. Every time I stop in they are there, with a smile and chatting with someone over beers at a table.

No it’s not juicy at all. It finishes vanilla with a hint of hops. My wife liked it. She hates hops. It definitely isn’t a traditional IPA.

This beer smelled like a wine when I popped the cap. It also has that boozy smell but doesn’t taste boozy. It’s definitely tart and sour. I really like it. My wife tried a sip and her face puckered right up. She said it was unique too but couldn’t drink it. She doesn’t really drink though.

Goodfire is one of my fav breweries up there. They make great IPAs and Berliner weisses. I'd recommend visiting their brewery. Great place. It's kind of hidden on the back side of Lone Pine. Their description of this is a summer beer. I'd agree. Good. I had Prime which I liked better. Another favorite up there is Battery Steele. Another good place to visit including about 5 breweries and distilleries including Allagash for their brewery only sours.

EDIT: also if u can't visit any of these breweries hit up Bier Cellar which is where I picked these up. I spend an hour in there wandering around trying to figure out what to buy.
