Need, not the beer but the telescope. Trying to get my little ones interested in space.

Crowler I brought back from visiting family over the 4th.

I've owed a couple over the years. I really like this Celestron one the best so far. For 11in it's lighter then then 10in Meades I've owned. Much easier to setup. The clarity seems better to me. Both Jupiter (directly under the moon) and Saturn (just a bit east) came out very nice. We could see multiple cloud and ring layers...couldnt get my phone to take a pic of them. When we were in Santa Fe, Andromoda was gorgeous! We could see the spiral arms! Here in Austin that's impossible.

When it comes to buying, its about what do you want to do, look or photograph? What do you want to look at, solar system/bright objects or deep space? Can you perminatly mount it or will you have to set up everytime? Of course budget. Happy Hunting!

Coffee....

Consider me jealous, I've been to the old location which had a very limited tap list

It was neat but I was a little disappointed. Was hoping for fresh king sue off the tap. But their dragon fandango sour was top notch! They're still working on the outside but the place is Hugh compared to the original.
