That suckers in the fridge for tomorrow.
Ah, no need to go light on an Ethiopian. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Try an iced or cold brew version.

@aflo_lou that Rare Barrel is highly respected, as should be, by brewers out here. Went to a new brewery Skull Mechanix in Austin. Dude behind the counter had pics with those guys with Russian Rivers #1 Barrel they used many years ago. Guess RR loans it out for others.
Too bad their beer was mediocre. I started talking up Pinthouse Pizza IPAs..this is why I don't have friends.
The sour world is deep and fascinating. Thanks for the info share! In the mean time I got my Homer buckets! [emoji15]Yeah, those RB guys have a stellar reputation, and well earned! I know they have and excellent relationship with Jester King, and those two breweries are always bouncing things off of each other.
And yes! Vinnie/RR are amazing evangelists for wild/sour/barrel aged beer, and RB isn’t far behind! They actually just recently gave the OG “Rare Barrel” PH1 back to New Belgian! So oddly enough, THE “Rare Barrel” is no longer at Rare Barrel. Long story behind that, but the gist is that over the last couple of years, they’ve found a “better” Rare Barrel, so that’s going to be the “Holy Culture Holder” for now. Incredibly, they do a “search for the Rare Barrel” every year that’s only open to a limited number of Ambassadors (I’ve never won the lottery to get in) where they taste off of a wide variety of barrels and vote on the best of the best to be the newest “Rare Barrel.”
Anyway, there’s your history/current events lesson for the day [emoji12]
Smoothest DIPA I have had.

They've got a sour on tap I've yet to get my hands on.
Just you wait! I think that this year’s RB offerings are better than ever.

Holy $hit. I never thought I’d hear Jester King again. We used to live in Texas and did our 5th wedding anniversary as a brewery and winery tour around Austin, complete with limo. Went to Jester King and loved it. Just assumed it was so small (at the time) that I’d never hear anything about them again after leaving Tejas.
Oh man!!! Well, you’re gonna have to hook up with @PianoMan then. JK is still, and consistently, putting out some incredible wild/sour beers. Killer stuff!

Stick around...I'll sample/post a few JKs or ship off a few once in a while. I think some folks might still have bottles I sent. Live about 8miles away but for the $$$ in general I'd rather spend elsewhere (aka Pinthouse Pizza) or homebrew.Holy $hit. I never thought I’d hear Jester King again.
