Another from St. Peters. Not sure how they manage to do this consistently, but green glass and only ever so slightly skunked, light enough to easily see past it. It's no Coniston (which seems to have disappeared again, I need to rebrew my clone with a sub yeast or something, or maybe find one bottle somewhere and harvest from that), but it's good enough.

Water. I recently started working with a personal trainer and today he lays the Bomb on me that he wants me to give up beer 6 days a week. I just laughed.

On another note, BA Darkness hit the shelves this week. There's very very little of it. I literally was two minutes to late at two different shops. I was completely bummed. Then I get a voicemail from another shop I visited last week. I had put my name down for BCBS there on Monday. They tell me they have my bottle of BCBS waiting, ... Oh and also we are holding a bottle of the new BA Surly Darkness.

Yeah, I'll be spending my money there again in the future that was freaking first class and totally unexpected.

Beer is calories, no denying that. Just means that if you don't want to cut beer, you have to cut elsewhere, or work harder. I opt to work harder.

Since you have to cut back on drinking. I will gladly Help you out by taking that BA Darkness.

That's my long term plan, for certain. But short term I have at least 30 more lbs to shed, so I'll compromise with him and cut back majorly on the drinking for a couple months.

Lively tonight.

Yup. Sweat that body.

Or... Add 5 mile runs 3 days a week. :D

Hah. I've dropped ~40 lbs and have kinda plateaued there again, but still dropping inches and packing on muscle. I don't know if I'll even hit my weight target (75 more lbs to go, but as one of my mates put it, by the time I drop enough fat "I'll look like f***ing Schwarzenegger"). I've dialed back on beer slightly, and do sporadic (every other week-ish) dry weeks. But instead of 2-3 beers per night on average, I'm more like 1 per night, on average. Instead I eat like a rabbit most of the time, except for whey protein, which I consume a significant amount.

So instead I opt for 1-2 hours of hard exercise 5-6 nights per week.

F*** running. I'm fine with 1 dedicated cardio day a week, no more. Granted I'll do that on the treadmill sometimes (but I run and walk in intervals at a pretty steep incline). But I've found power workouts (clean and jerk, thrusters, KB swings, etc) and HIIT circuits to be much more effective.

Or deadlifts. Deadlifts are fun.

Although I suppose if I want to to back to playing football (which is my eventual goal here) then I should get back into running, because I'll need it.

OT Robinson's The Trooper. For how not impressed I was the first time I tried it (very stale), I've grown to really like this beer. This one is a little more stale. Doesn't bode well for the other 3 cans in the pack.

I like lifting, but find running.... fun. Not really. I hate running, have had two surgeries on my knee, and am in PT for a torn ankle ligament. but.. I love the post run high. Ellipticals suck.

I will never stop reading beers with folks here. I get blown away with every box.

Very nice. Nothing earth shattering, just solid flavor.

I will read with you any time!

Nursing the last drink of the night, pour two of Dragons Milk.

They're boring, but that's what the Netflix app is for. And I've taken to the Arc Trainer. Some weird combo of a stair stepper and eliptical, but it beats your ass.

My wife does a lot more cardio (3-4 dedicated days a week) with cardio and circuit training the other two. She mocks me for turning into a curlbro because I've very much taken to:

You'd be much better off if you did a dedicated cutting phase. Hit the cardio hard for a few weeks and cut back on everything. Then lift hard for a few weeks, etc. Keep the intake the same and you'll be shedding pounds like nothing.

You can't poo-poo cardio if you need to drop that much. Unless you want to lose 75 lbs over the next couple of years or cut back to like 1500 cal/day.

Another while watching Rudolph with the kid and wife.

The issue for me isn't the boredom, it is the weird way my knees and hips are put together. I run duck footed; ellipiticals hurt me... bad. Running, just hurts.

Cutting isn't good. Too much bloo... oh. Not that type. Carry on.

I keep passing that over for other stuff. I assume that's a dumb move but I'm cheap. Now that I've cut down significantly, I might work it in.

It's none too bad, I thought I had brought one up from the cellar but I checked, it was from the 4pack I bought on sale, must of been old, might need to see if they have any more old stock;)

Ha! The Old Rasputin 4 pack that's been on the shelf at my store forever is almost 2 years old. I'll buy it someday.
