My grandfather found a(n?) opossum pup in a culvert, brought it home, and nursed it to health in a live trap. It got out, and lived to adulthood hiding in my sisters closet, eating her cats food and water. There was a pile of **** a foot high in the back corner by the time we found out. He then lived in a rabbit hutch in the back yard until he passed like ten years later, and I swear he thought he was a cat.

You win.

Hate it when you pull a beer and it's just about full and a big yeasty blast signals the end of the keg.
RIP Hophands clone, better news, I have another keg ready to go:D

Brewing that Monday. I noticed yours didn't last long.

I have little to no college football loyalty, but since I'll be working in Columbus this fall, I might try to stick around for a weekend and catch a game.

Been to many games? Any tips/recommendations?

The games are all sold out already you will have to buy from a ticket broker. I get to a game when I can I'm going to watch them destroy Northern Illinois this year because thats the only game I can afford. Check out the asking price for tickets to the Michigan State game. I love the Buckeyes but I don't want to take out a second mortgage to go see a game. It's a blast going to games there are 105,000 + crazy Buckeyes at every game regardless of who they are playing and another 10,000 + tailgating around the stadium. That many people exiting simultaneously is a hassle but it's worth it.

That's all you need out of NY. Best beer out of the city, IMO.

Pull of cream ale in a Bengali tiger can. I don't care.

Bold call, especially since that beer was probably brewed in PA.

Plenty of beer actually being brewed in the city these days that is prob better (Other Half, Singlecut, etc)

Thanks, I'll look into it, even if it just means staying for the tailgate and not the game. Either that or go visit a friend who just moved to Ann Arbor.

Like I said, no college football loyalty.

I'm not a hipster and I refuse to be called a New Yorker, despite growing-up there more than 2/3rds of my lifetime. Beer included.

The only reason to go to that accursed city up north is to go to Jolly Pumpkin.

<shrug> not sure what your point is, but good beer is good beer in my book, even if it's brewed by hipsters.

Yeast pitched. Bucknuts that WLP blend smelled straight up amazing. That's just what I want all of my Brett beers to smell like. This is going to be a great beer. Now I'm having this with cleanup.

It smells amazing when it's fermenting as well. I have no idea what the "farmhouse yeast strain" is but it has more of the classic Belgian phenolics than any saison strain I've ever used. White Labs claims moderate levels of sourness but it only produces a little tart flavor. I hope it turns out well for you.
