Tell me about it. My two year old is obsessed with stirring the mash then throws a fit when I put the lid back on lol. I can usually use brewing as an excuse to give my wife a break though since he's so interested. Just sucks when it's about to boil and I'm worried about the hot break and trying to keep him from running into the street.

My soon to be two year old likes to come in the garage with my toy pirate ship and play (Buckey from Jake... You know) Now that Im all electric, getting burnt isnt as much as a threat. I think it has made brewing easier. He doesnt care about the brewing process, he just wants in my tools (makes me proud:ban:)

Yeah mine touched the kettle last brew day and got a little blister. **** hit the fan!

Doesn't Hickenlooper have some sort of connection to Wynkoop?

He started it. Mainly as restaurant with a brewery as an after thought, but the brewery took off. He was an unemployed geologist home brewer before he started Wynkoop in late 80s.

Supposedly has no controlling interest since he became mayor and now governor.... Breck brew and Wynkoop have some sort of partnership / joint venture.

Next time anyone is in denver, I'd recommend a stop at breck's new place in Littleton. Pretty nice place for a brewery...

Right on Onetoedog! I like those malty North Highs, the PsycHOPathy is good, working my way to the Citra High. I've turned into a trading fan/addict. SWMBO....not so much.

I've always regretted not joining up. By the time I considered it, it would've upended plans with my wife to be and that would've been brutal to do to her. My brother is a marine infantryman. Couldn't have more respect for him. That crazy mother****er.

Believe it or not gents and speaking in all honesty, if I could do it anybody could. It's all mentsl. Clearing those physical hurdles was only a mental roadblock. Any doubt I had in myself got screamed out of me over the course of 13 weeks. But doing it with a family and kids...probably would be a non-starter.

Coffee. Sore this morning and slowly moving around. Slept in and decided not to try to work today. I would brew, but I don't think I can pick up my keggle full of wort with my banged up arm.

Haha one sheet is the print off of the recipe from brewers friend that i calculate everything on, but throw away. I keep two sheets of pretty detailed notes of everything that happened during the brew. Best thing my buddy told me to do when i started brewing

Sample of my Sticks RIS i brewed two weeks ago. Was shooting for 1.111 (hence the name) but ended up at 1.120. Was hoping for a FG of 1.030 yet its already sitting at 1.021. Its a little hot at 13% right now haha hot damn! Should be good by fall though! :rockin: View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1433001887.787997.jpg
