Still drinking water.

It just sleeted like mother floccer here. While we don't get 6 feet of snow, we get ice under our snow. Then the Yankees that move here make fun of us for being scared to drive. But they don't have experience driving on this crap! So, they wind up skidding off the road and causing accidents. Oh, and the truckers and four wheelers that think they can drive on anything...but have no idea that ice doesn't give a flocc about trucks and four wheel drive. We're supposed to get a couple of days of record breaking low temperatures, so it'll stick around for a few days. Our advantage is that it will be gone by the weekend or next week. And Spring actually comes in March!

Having a Coke Cherry Zero with dinner. No school for the kids; no driving tomorrow...beer tonight!

Parts of the south do import their weather. A few years back the northern portion of the US had almost blizzard like conditions over a weekend. I was told I had no choice but to get back as scheduled from leave dispite air travel being null. Driving back down from Philly to camp Lejeune was drifting sniw, but with 20 miles of Jackson NC all signs of sniw disappeared like it never went through there.

Pulled a sample of my breakfast stout that's currently sitting on oak. Been on oak for a week and two days. Tasting great. The manufacturer of the oak spirals says 6 weeks for full extraction. I can't see letting this sit much more than another week or so.

Now drinking an imperial stout sent by @savorychef, I think.
Gusher! Doesn't taste infected at all, so they must have bottled too early or just way overshot their carb level.

We've had this conversation before. Beer, I'm drinking beer. Hello and Billy both know this. I'll post again in 3 months and I guarantee you I'll still be drinking beer. :D

Does this snowblower have some sentimental value for you or something?

Nah, just trying to avoid spending $1200+ on something similar since it was free (came with the house) plus I like to try to be a DIY type. I can get an engine for $99 that fits the current setup with no or minimal mods to my blower. I figure it's worth it for a season or two since no stores had snowblowers in stock yesterday when we went looking.

Am I stupid for this?

Mixed fruit blonde.

Nah, I understand. Good luck with it. Wasn't sure how much you were getting bent over on the replacement parts.

Flight is delayed, still sitting here. Should have stayed outside security where I could have at least had another beer.

The boss lady doesn't support replacing the engine, even if it was just to fix it and sell it to defray the cost of a new one. A boo.

I hate flying. Especially security crap. I want to be able to enjoy a smoke in an airport with my beers over a few hour layover, not run out and deal with an hour wait to get back in.

I decided I had enough of my old snowblower's shenanigans last year and bought a shiny new Ariens.

Didn't snow at all after that.
