sounds like something I would do. I want a teku and a Spiegelau ipa glass but I fear for their safety if I do get them.

I always break them when not using them. I really need to get off my butt, design, plan out, and build my bar with a safe glassware storage/display area that will keep me from breakage. Only THEN will I allow myself to purchase nice glassware. I think I ought to put in a small dishwasher exclusively for bar stuff too (no rinse aid obviously).

Oh, and drinking a pull of Great Lakes Oktoberfest in my DC Brau can glass.

This makes me happy.

I hand wash all my beer glasses and now that I think about it many have met their demise in the sink while I was washing them

That is my favorite fff beer. I've had it. Black heart, dreadnaught, alpha king and now zombie dust(thanks again) and I think I like arctic panzer wolf the best.

You likely need to try an apocalypse cow, if I land a good score of it again next year I will let you know... Or save it for the Purdue osu game. Black heart is actually my fav. Only had it on draft though. Since you are a stout guy, moloko is worth a try too. What I like most about fff is that although none of their beers are my favorites... All are good. If they have a dud, I have not had it yet.

Second pour of panzer wolf. Made the mistake of letting swmbo try the sky high rye and a trade happened.

A friend from work text me twice this weekend to go out to a local-ish bar to try fff broo doo their wet hopped beer on tap but I passed. I mostly drink ipas and saisons/farmhouse ales. I li9ke sours and stouts when I'm in the mood. I have never seen apocalypse cow except online would love to try that

I have that same sort of obsession with all beers brewed with rye malt

Yeah. I am yet to have one I don't like. When I asked the hbs for the price on a big bag of rye he looked at me like I was nuts. After your porter I cannot wait to try one with my house porters hop schedule and the grain bill you are about to give me... Please. I will share.

Should you be "supervising children"?

My five year old knows she can play outside as long as she wants if she keeps fetching me beers. Have to find a place on the top shelf for the stuff I don't need after I am drunk. The third and fourth Pliny were serious overkill on Sunday.... But you can't tell a little girl she did bad by bringing you Pliny.... Had to suffer through it.

No problem I'll scan the recipe from work and email it to you. I have your email address.

Good job!!! A weaker man would have failed but not a homebrewer.

Anyone have beersmith 2 mobile app? I'm considering purchasing it any advice? Also drinking an abita Oktoberfest whilst contemplating ;)

I use it as a companion to the desktop version. I think it's worth the six bucks or whatever for that purpose.

It's not a replacement for the desktop version though IMO. It does a lot but it doesn't do everything--for instance I don't think you can customize equipment profiles on the app

Saison after the third funeral in a months time.
View attachment 229538

How do you negative like things. Sorry about your losses. I have no idea why funeral starts with the word fun. They are none. Bad news tends to come in threes so hopefully you are out of the woods for funerals for quite a while and only good news finds your door. like maybe winning a giveaway or something.

Another pull of Oktoberfest. I have been getting heartburn-ey a lot recently. This is no bueno.

Had to get this off of my skinny-ass chest.

Hi, my name is Remmy aka Dar, the beer review guy. Yes, I went to college. And, yes, I live in my mom's basement and don't know what ***** looks like.

Nightcap. 8 hours of drinking was fun especially after splitting wood with my maul.

More oaked Venus Rye Trap

So as to not offend Remmy's sensibilities I poured a Buffalo Sweat clone that I found that I bottled this spring from the keg in the back of my beer fridge. Its funny. The other one(s) I shared this spring were nearly flat. This one was far from it. It is almost overcarbed if that is possible. Seems drier and more effervescent too. Does not taste bad, but I taste... copper? Holy Crap, copper taste and the more roasty flavor excepting, I made a Guinness!
