Finishing with the remains of a Duvel that SWMBO abandoned last night.

Remmy, thanks to the niners for their work today.

First taste of a melomel I made with my step-brother in January.

The backstory here is that he's 1 year older than me. He was always an AV club kind of guy and I was a Wrestling guy. One day, after playing a video game (which featured mead), we set about making our own mead. I forget the recipe (if there was one), but 6 months later, we decided it was time to take a taste from our Pepsi bottle fermentors (the "mead" was a mess of pellicle and mold) . Naturally, I made him drink it all and he got pretty sick (at least he vomited a few times).
That was my second homebrew experience. The first was a year earlier when we found one one of those "ferment in a bag" kits my stepdad had received as a gift in the 90's. We made it and it exploded in his closet while we were on vacation, ruining his entire wardrobe.

Now, I have 24 wine bottles of this stuff, so I'm hoping he'll enjoy it. I guess I was a pretty s***y stepbrother... :)

Did you just become best friends? Did you want to do karate in the garage?

For some reason I have been reading this as the mint dingo and thinking it would be a good dessert beer.
Actually read the label as I opened it. I guess habanero is a good dessert flavor...

My pumpkin porter from last year. There was some vegetable flavor with it almost every beer I've had till now. This is the best bottle, and so glad I still have a handful of bombers left. Poured a heavy head, but it's not over carbonated. ImageUploadedByHome Brew1410146242.951928.jpg

I'm so happy I'm drunk.

Too many things going on earlier today, supper at the in-laws tonight and then got another batch of cider started this evening (crab apples, pears, Ginger Crisp apples and Pink Cripps apples and a couple of cinnamon sticks). Then it took awhile to catch up on all the comments here. *sigh* football season...NC State managed to win another one and I could snooze right through all the rest! Now I'm going to grab a Nugget Nectar (recycled pic...too tired and lazy to take one) and probably fall asleep shortly thereafter!

BTW, "grilling" is a verb. "Smoking" is a verb. "BBQ" is a noun. And it's pork.

Water at work.

Missed 150 posts yesterday. I recorded and watched the football game in segments finishing around 9:00 last night. Had to go into total information blackout to avoid ruining the ending :mug:

Remmy, if I'm ever east coast or you end up in MN, we need to drink together. you'll drink me under the table, but it'll be a helluva ride getting there!

another CRye Guy with forgotten left over growler from OBC IPA. blended nicely!

Trouble. :D

Coff.

More Coff.

Crappy morning. About to get better, though.

Really bad coffee with more grounds in the bottom of the cup than it should have taken to brew it.

On my drive in this morning I heard a song about there being no use in prayer when Norte Dame is playing... All lines full. #boorudy.

Water. I want to blame the idiot who scheduled fasting lab work for 11 am then I realized I was that idiot. For some reason I haven't had coffee since Friday and now I really want it.

Remmy, glad to see you're not only alive but living the dream. Maybe I should pack the truck and the trunk (coffee table) and drive up and crash your party.

You two need to be separated like gasoline and fire.

Come through. My house has more than enough room for a few home brewers to stay for a week or so. Billy, get to looking at those flights. Let's do it.

I only have two beers left. ****.
