Hit me a couple bottle shops today. Payday plus raise means shopping spree.

Starting off the evening with a double pour of my Mild.

Then these guys all waiting for me: Hanssen's Artisanaal Oude Gueuze and Oudbeitje Lambic, Oude Beersel Oude Kriek, Robinson's The Trooper (turns out is IS available in VA after all), 1809 Berliner (again, turns out I can still get it in VA, I was worried it was no longer available without having to go to DC or MD), Stone RuinTen (haven't tried it yet), Blue Mountain Steel Wheels ESB (semi-homer beer), a 6er of Port City Derecho Common (homer beer), and then a 12 bottle wine box full of my dear Coniston Bluebird Bitter.

If you don't hear from me for the rest of the night, check with Arlington County PD. Might be naked in the drunk tank :drunk:

That moment when you realize you don't have a wine opener and you have a bottle of cantillon chilled and in your hands :( oh well this will do just fine!

How is the Berliner? Love the style.

Steel Wheels was pretty darn good.

Found this last bottle in the cellar of a DIPA I brewed months ago. Had a little more carb than expected.

It's not a common rendition of the style (stronger, and tastes to me like it was fermented with a Weizen yeast rather than a clean strain), but it's damned good. It's one of my favorites. Rick's over on Duke St. in Alexandria used to be my normal spot for it until they closed. But hadn't seen it anywhere else in VA for a long time until today. Planet Wine in Del Ray. I thought they'd stopped distributing here. It's easy to get in DC and MD.

Hi Nelson, while bottling a sixer of RIS that didn't fit in the 5 gallon carboy, how did that happen?:D At 10% it should be nice down the road, dammed tasty already. The carboy will go in a shorty keg and bottle the rest.

IPL collab with Ballast point. Hops taste similar to sculpin so this one is a winner! From all the negativity i heard about the beer camp mixer, this one starts to quiet the critics. Very good especially at 8.5%. :D

Thanks. In old town for work daily, will have to check out Del Ray.

Had a three year old honey amber HB, held up pretty well. An overcarbed patersbier was next, and now on to this pallet cleanser.

Not bad. Definitely more of an "American" styled ESB than a traditional Bitter. It's also a little old ("best by" on the bottom was a couple months ago). I suppose I'd have to try a fresh one, but not something I'd actively seek out again.

Another borboun night. Babying my back, grilling up a steak and am searching through AP/Netflix looking for something to watch.

Grilling in the rain sucks but the steak was perfect. Lets have another Bourbon shall we? Same pic as my previous post. Corrected spelling of bourbon. I always forget where to put the U.

It's good for a stupidly hopped beer ;) I'm gonna have a hard time finishing it but I'm enjoying it so far. I can definitely see the appeal for many of you.

That's bloody awesome if I say so myself.
