Just finished a Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest before throwing tomorrow's lunch in the smoker.

Nice! You're gonna have fun with that one. One of my teammates finished the one in Ohio, and is acting as an advisor for the rest of our team for the next one in KC. It's gonna be a blast, for sure.

Nice, we're all first-timers, but I do know a couple people who are event planners for TM, so I might get some insider tips from them.

And drinking my Evil Twin now.

I would normally agree, but after drinking 8% IIPA for the past few days, it definitely seems water-like to me. Thankfully, I didn't have to buy Corona, or BL. I'd drink real water before that (ok, well maybe not, but I probably would at least seriously think about it for a minute).

Ah, the old blown palate syndrome. I know it well!

Yep. Completely blown, but in a good way. The down side is, I'm craving another one, and I'm 200 miles from home...

At the bar with some old friends. Throwing down some smuttynose brown. served ice cold. Why offer great beer if you are going to serve them at the wrong temperature? Now that it's warmed up some it's delicious.

Thats the spirit! Drink it and let me know if you want some more! Promise I wont charge to too much more for being a Pittsburgh fan. (Born in Philly)

Haha!! You're such a kind Philly fan! It's all good Nunner. I think that for the sake of great beer, we can find a way to get along!! :) I know for a fact that ill want more, question is, what in the world could I get that would be worth the Wook (or maybe a Parabola)? This is the real question. I found out that the reason I was able to find FW in the burgh is because the bottle shop went to Philly and bought a bunch of the stuff that somehow is exclusively distributed in Philly only, like RR, Bruery, Lost Abbey, Jolly Pumpkin, FW... messed up if you ask me.

Yeah, Philly gets a strong selection passing through here thanks to the owner of Origlio (the area's largest distributor). The beer variety in Philly helped soften the blow when I moved here from Southern California 5 years ago...but not really.

Thing that irritates me is that the breweries get tricked into signing exclusive distribution rights, so now, Philly is the only place in PA most good stuff is distributed. This makes me not a happy camper.

For as good as the selection is here in Philly I moved here from San Diego...so I'm not a happy camper, either (and that's not just because of the beers I left behind). At least you still have Helltown, right? Idle Hands is a pretty good IIPA.

I haven't tried Helltown yet. I should. Next time I make my way back to SWPA, I will pick some up.

I'm still on the road, swmbo just texted me this.

"Post this to your website, brought the dogs up to the house to go for a swim, I'm at yo house drinking yo beers... ps. I think taking pictures of beer is silly"

That woman is a keeper.

Kernel Stella/Motueka IPA for me and Saison Dupont for swmbo at the Euston Tap by Euston station.

Partizan 7 grain for me and a Summerwine Rouge Red Hop Ale for swmbo.

Getting a lot of burnt grain from the Partizan.

Definite Brett from the Rouge. Interesting, I was expecting more like the Hop Head Red from Green Flash. Still good. SWMBO is taking some convincing though.

Can't drink all day unless you start in the morning.

4 grain saison, with citra, Nelson, and Amarillo, and my umpteenth generation ECY saison Brett blend.

If you haven't checked out the craft beer MAW thread, you are missing out!

I feel kinda dirty after leaving that thread!

Got this for free from a buddy who just got a job there. Not bad on a hot Florida day.
