HM Chinese rice wine. 5+ months in the bottle, tartness and sweet have mellowed, nice sipper. I don't have a way to determine ABV but based on what I've read and how I did this batch it should be around 15% so it is quite "warming". I like it!

Hey Rish: Just bought a home in Haleyville. Looking to retire in a year. We’ll have to tip a few.

A German HB Pilsner - in a new glass. Hard to see, but etched Milwaukee Brewers logo/text.

Sold my rider and push mowers when we moved so bought an electric mower ('cause swmbo's friend's husband "loves" his so she knows I will, too) and cut grass today. Calls for a cold, refreshing beer and this north AL brewed peach sour hits the spot. Not a lot of aroma but nice peach flavor, not too sour, 6.5%. Tasty.

Nothing too radical this afternoon, crunching numbers and have to keep sharp. Hello Bud Zero!

It is however a great opportunity to continue the Blue Moon talk from yesterday, where @bwible made mention that “Blue Moon is a favorite with a lot of women.” Well, looking at yesterday’s response from Beer-Loving Daughter #3, that just might be the case…. This is what I have to deal with. A chip off the old block….. as they say, the nut doesn’t fall very far from the tree!

If you want to brew Blue Moon this thread has info from Wayne1 who says he used to work for Coors and was part of that beers development:

West Coast Micro IPA.

Clarity improving but still not quite there. This has been a great success and will definitely enter my regular circulation. Brewed for a comp which is limited to <4% beers.

Aim was to brew a beer that didn't taste sub 4%. 82% MO, 10% Munich, 5% Golden Naked Oats, 3% Red Rye Crystal. Mashed slightly warm, finished around 1.008 and with great mouth feel for a 3.8% beer.

40 IBU and BU/GU around 1.07. Hopped with Centennial LupoMAX, Amarillo LupoMAX and Luminosa. Boil additions at 15m and 5m. 5g/L whirlpool and 5g/L dry hop. Fermented with WHC LAX.

I just can’t seem to stray too far away from San Diego’s new reference Pilsner – Alesmith’s 2025 release of their newly-a-classic Anvil Pilsner!

All is good in the world when gulping down copious quantities of this beer. As a Pilsner lover, I am totally impressed with what is in effect a delicious 4.9% ABV Bavarian Pilsner - in a San Diego area can. I mentioned it before - love those 1930’s-inspired can graphics!

Nice head, great lacing, and just excellent clarity. As far as I can figure this is part of the second batch or release this year, and considering the speed this flies off the shelfs, I say you’re going to have to really dig in quick if you want some. Easily as good as Norcal’s Trumer, go get a sixer before this is gone!
