Chillen, which is all I do these days. HB Rye IPA.
Nice unassuming blonde ale on a warm afternoon.
Staying inside on a blustery day, with a HB Skibsol.
One of the new "hobbies" is watching Live Storm Chasers on YouTube. Seems your area has had it's fair share of distressing activities....

Been a crazy month here. Windy most days, went from too hot to too cold. Tornadoes last week. Rain on the way tonight and tomorrow (we need it), but unfortunately, it probably won't push far enough north to help tamp down the wild fires.

A little pre-dinner snack.
Today I’m drinking a blender – Bell’s Two Hearted IPA and a Budweiser Zero for mixer!
This is a terrific tasting IPA, 7% ABV and it’s great concoction blended down – making this a 3.5% ABV blender. Still tastes great as an IPA should, that’s really a comment on how our (or my) taste buds respond to strong hoppy flavors – this still tastes like an IPA to me.
Granted it is a lighter IPA, but still pretty nifty… Plus I get twice as much to drink! Cheers….. !

SA oaked vanilla porter. Pretty good. I'll stick a couple on the shelf to see how it does with some age.

@ClaudiusB they had a more proper glass, but I paid for this “NY craft beer glass” hence the improper glass and a couple extra ounces. Or is it the haze?

I don't like the look of the beer; based on your picture, it looks muddy. I gave up on the use of proper beer glasses outside our beer garden and taproom.
I will brew a Kölsch soon, and it may look worse, muddy and headless.
I’m sure your Kolsch will be beautiful like the other beers you show us.

Trying the bourbon RIS that @Hoochin'Fool gave me. Aged just over 5 months. Nice balance of whiskey and roast. Caramel flavors and just a little stone fruit in there. Nice job!

Hey, hey, check this out…! Belgian Ale Tasting! Six delicious Belgian Ales all in one box!
I have to admit, one of my weak areas is Belgian Ale. Which is sort of a shame, there are so many good, weird, funky and totally out there Belgian Ales enjoyed by many bierfreaks out there! I guess I will always tend towards super-drinkable Pilsners and such. Many of these Belgian Ales are good, and many are sippers, not ones that I’d fill up a 1-liter stein with.
This box has a selection of different Belgian Ale types, beginning at 5.5% ABV and finishing at an astonishing 12 ABV, literally bottles of wine-weight beer. I’m going to be blasting through these one at a time, from low ABV to high ABV. That will have me finishing out on Sunday with the “booziest” in the box, Beer-Gods willing!
Today’s brew is a tasty Flemish Sour Ale, Monk’s Café Grand Cru. This is the lightweight of the box, coming in at 5.5% ABV. It’s a blend of 3-year old Ales, with some fresh Lager blended in to bring it to 5.5%, Interesting!
Just slightly sour, this Ale has the characteristic low head found in many sours. Remarkably, it does have some lacing as I drink this, but again, it’s not a glugger. It’s a First-Class sipper, not the kind of beer you drink in volume. I guess that explains the wimpish 11.2 ounce baby bottles they put it in. Makes total sense. Good beer!

Earlier today, Ferus Brewing imperial milk stout. Chocolate, coffee, some sweetness, smooth, 8%. This batch doesn't seem to be as good as early ones I remember (less sweet, more bitter) but still tasty.
Guess I read Tropical IPA... somewhere. Taste more like a mead. 9% either way
Back in the pool for some exercise. Keeping hydrated!
I'm drinking a HB beer I made from left overs. It could be a Brown IPA, (dark) Red IPA, Rye IPA, or American Strong Ale. In any event, I like it. The grist is Pilsner, Munich, Red Rye Crystal, and some Spray Malt. It's hopped with Nelson Sauvin to 62 IBU and dry-hopped with Mosaic Cryo. US-05 yeast. 6.4% ABV. I tend to like IPA's on the malty side, but I may have over did the Red Rye Crystal. Still good though.
It's been a while since I've picked up some Lagunitas, so I grabbed a 12 pack assortment of IPAs while at the store yesterday.
Inside with A Little Sumpin' Sumpin', cause it's 45 and rainy outside.
It's been raining 3 days so far. Yeah, we needed the rain, but I think we've had enough for now. Mosquitoes and ticks will be horrendous in a few days.
Just over 3.5" in my rain gauge as of this morning and still filling up. If this keeps up my basement sump pump will be doing a little sumpin sumpin.
