A half liter of Radeberger. And the sun just came out, something we haven't seen in a week.

České Pivo – means Czech Beer! I need to learn these new words, they’re important!

Platan is a brand of Southern Bohemian Czech Lager – Delicious and easy drinking – since 1540! This is a totally chugworthy 4.6% ABV pale lager, not too different from the Festbiers gulped in quantity by partygoers at Okoberfests from Munich to Big Bear. It’s very similar, but while maintaining the Czech dominant Saaz hops. Nicely balanced, this is one you can consume by the stein-ful! I chugged this full liter while writing this!

Great beer, buy two of them and fill up. This is a hearty pale lager you will love. Užívejte si!

Starts off with a moderate tan head that quickly dissipates. Somewhat malty with a solid mouthfeel, and the lava cake taste is definitely apparent. Roast is more in the background than up front like many stouts, and chocolate is 1 of the more upfront flavors. Has just enough hops to keep it from being overly sweet. Not a session beer at 8%, and the sweetness and heavy mouthfeel keep it at 1 per session.

Brother Thelonius abbay ale. Not a jazz fan but I'm a big fan of this beer! Caramel, raisin, plum, molasses, 9.4%, delicious.

I tried that a while back, it was okay but like many American interpretations of Belgian ales way too sweet and chewy.
Imo the only "American Belgian" I've tried and liked are Sierra Nevada's trip in the woods series.
