An English-ish strong bitter that I brewed 10 days ago. Bottle conditioned. I know I'm rushing it, but it tastes pretty good already. I pitched kveik yeast at about 85 degrees and it was finished fermenting in about 2 days. The 4th day, I transferred from the bucket to a carboy to clear, but I had some leftover so I bottled it. There's a lot of yeast sediment in those bottles but they are carbonated and clear so I chilled one. It's not bad at all! (but I'm not all that familiar with the style so I don't have anything to compare) I only chilled it in the fridge for an hour so it's not overly cold.

I used American pale ale malt, some dark Munich, homemade dark invert syrup, and a bunch of caramel wheat malt (10%) to make up for the over-attenuative yeast I'd be using. And Golding hops. I can taste what I think is the syrup; it's not sweet of course, it's actually a little bitter.

Solidifying the Colorado trip. Plane and car set. Looking at Longmont for 3 days then south of Denver for the higher altitude hikes. Plan on hitting 'em at Copper Creek @TheDudeLebowski , highest North American tee box but see how the 'ol man feels. In the mean time..

Nice! I skied a bunch of those mountains back in the day. Beautiful country. I'm about to make golf tripping plans. I love doing Maine but I really want to do VT. Havent really vacationed there in years and miss it.

The good breweries are waaay up there and not too much golf. Trying to research best bottle shops Stowe may be a good compromise. Lots of good draft lists in that town.

First a pour of homemade wine from the CSA dude. Holy sweet. Really, Manischewitz sweet. Dreadfully sweet. Tried cutting it 1:1 with some seltzer for a spritz. Still too sweet. Yeah, no.

Went back to the fridge for a HB AK.

Bottle shops.....! I actually was looking at an east coast brewery trip before deciding on Colorado. It's on the works for sure.
