West End Girls near the top of my 80s playlist. You gotta have the long play version with the cow bells!!! Reminds me of my clubbing days as a young soldier in Germany.

Picked up a few munchies and a crowler of Sun Puncher, Kolsch from Humdinger Brewing. This is a really tasty 6.5% beer.

I also left a 32oz growler of my pecan porter for them to try. Looking for some opinions and feedback.

You know to be honest? I would expect it impress year after year. The aroma is great but flavor seems to have watered down. 2 years ago it got interesting and almost hot but after that it calmed down. I wish I had more to keep sampling to swing in the up direction.

To be honest I've found Orval to age better. That I've got nice stockpiles of along with Rasputin Those I have a bunch of and always enjoy pulling.

I think I have some old St Bern that I should try. They're all like 750 tho

Interesting. I have one Westy 12 left from our 2014 trip to Belgium. Just waiting for a special occasion. The last one I had, 2 1/2 years ago was phenomenal.

Interesting. I have one Westy 12 left from our 2014 trip to Belgium. Just waiting for a special occasion. The last one I had, 2 1/2 years ago was phenomenal.

That one is the American release. There were online snobs that argued it tasted different. The brewery said it was the same. Plus my cellar isn't temp controlled but never gets out of the 60's in the hottest months.

Either way a good chunk of beers I like are due to memories so a trip to Belgium and a special occasion can only increase the flavor

This is a 2011 Mystic Brewing Company Descendant. Suffolk Dark Ale.
One of the older bottles in my cellar. I’ve been waiting years for a reason to open this bottle.
With the end of 2020 and the birth of our twins boys, this is the perfect time to open it!!!!
