Nice cool day here. A few beers on the deck while reading. And listening to my annoying neighbor’s music. At least it’s something I like (classic rock).
The SRM IS 6.0, which is on the low end for an Amber. At 38 IBU it’s probably more of a low gravity Pale Ale.Does look and sound very good. What is the SRM?

It’s a recipe I put together to use up some small amounts of base malts I had left over. Here’s a screenshot of the recipe. The acidulated malt is for Ph adjustment. I mashed at 150.Is this based on an HBT recipe? If not, willing to share?

I brew with well water which is slightly alkaline and the Ph is 8 and change. I’ve found that a small amount of acid malt is all I need to get the mash Ph to around 5.4. I think I actually used 4 oz instead of 2; I’m too lazy to go downstairs and check my brewing log. I add 3-4% to most of my recipes and I don’t notice any profound effect on flavor at that rate. Thanks! Looks interesting. I used 5.6% acid malt in a Pils (I called this my "Endless Summer Pils". Initially, IMO, yuck. Now, it is very, very good. How did the 2 oz Acid malt impact the tasted?

If you figure it out, let me know. Now that you brought it up, I'm going to go crack open a Guiness. The local Sprouts has Guinness Extra in bombers for $2.99.Nope,it’s the real deal. Doing research, trying to figure out what the secret is.
Very nice![]()
Collective Arts Brewing Porter, with Cascade and Nugget. Same brewer and style, different artwork. Cannot remember if the wrestler in the art is Butterbean or someone else. He looks familiar, but I'm no wrastlin' expert!

Morally obligated to drink while barbecuing when your smoker has a bottle opener built in. Imperial Double IPA to start, a nice low abv grisette later so I’m not so tanked that i burn dinner. Some smoked thai drumsticks for tonight and a meatloaf for tomorrow’s dinner. View attachment 684965View attachment 684966View attachment 684967
Factory stock. I have 3 broil king barbecues. Two charcoal, one gas. Both charcoal ones (keg and smoke) come with built in bottle openers.Did the opener come factory stocked, making it an ideal purchase? Or installed after the fact, to encourage the drinking?
I’ll crack one open too. I do get the citrusy part and some pine with this batch. Maybe some tropical notes but mainly citrus and pine as it warms. Yes it is on the dryer side too, I would agree with that.Sippin on @pshankstar HB All Together. Very nicely done! Starting off it was a bit dry and neutral but as it warmed up it had a nice citrusy and floral profile while maintaining a very nuetral profile with no hop bite. Very Crushable!
