Shiner "Holiday Cheer" that I bought on sale. It's supposed to be a dunkelweizen. The color is lovely. That's about all I can say good about it. I'll probably finish the one, then dump all the rest. I was suspicious of it from the start but I let my curiosity and the price mark-down get the best of me. Beeradvocate.com says it's good but I don't know what they must have been smoking. Smells like artificial peach flavoring (and a lot of it!) and tastes weird.

Thanks for the review. They have gallons of that in our stores in Austin for like $7/6pk. Was iffy on it...

Spent a couple of hours logged into work. I deserve the bar on a Sunday night.

Fox Farm Votive #4 16.7abv
No. 4 was blended from batches brewed during the winter of 2020-2021, each starting in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. Last December, the contents of those barrels were then transferred to VSOP brandy barrels. That oak was originally brought in for another project but we were struck by the quality and intensity of the barrels - as with the three Votives prior, the blend and barrel treatment weren’t pre-determined but based on inspiration and careful selection. Over 24 months in the making, we’re excited to be sharing where this beer’s journey has brought it.

How is it? I see they use sugar beets!
I think it’s very good. A nice malty amber lager that is a tad sweet. I’m not sure if they’re using the actual sugar beet or the sugar produced from them. Regardless, I like them.
Now a HB NEIPA

Ignore the dirty fingers… I was trying to spray paint a model rocket earlier.
