Cream cheese in beer is a no no for meView attachment 768344Everything but cream cheese sounds good with this one. Plus I didn’t want to sit on it too long given the cream cheese. I’m enjoying it, but it’s super sweet, thick and almost a slight tang from what I’m guessing is the cream cheese. The cream cheese could have been left out IMHO.
That’s a true beerView attachment 768391
My wife got this as a surprise for me. I was pretty blown away. Picked it out without any assistance.
Her super power is picking great produce and beer.
Appreciate it.No, it’s not a smoked Scottish. It’s really in the “Scottish Export” style (14C). This is the description from the style guidelines-
Description
“A malt-focused, generally caramelly beer with perhaps a few esters and occasionally a butterscotch aftertaste. Hops only to balance and support the malt. The malt character can range from dry and grainy to rich, toasty, and caramelly, but is never roasty and especially never has a peat smoke character. Style Comparison: Similar character to a Wee Heavy, but much smaller.”
My local grocery store always has La Fin du Monde but man I wish they would get this one. Fortunately, they do keep Chimay Blue on the rack.Welp, looks like only one brew today but here's the honorary beer for that upcoming brew.

Devil's Backbone from Real Ale in Blanco Texas. It's not only the name of a great beer but also a great motorcycle road around Blanco Texas.

That’s very kind. I hope it turns out well. That’s one of my favorite beers. Meanwhile, I’m drinking store beer until my kegs get full again.First brew of the day. Honorary beer style, glass and recipe via the Colorado Man and Myth... @camonick!
