My Saison. Nightcap.

Tech this weekend finally found the problem (he thinks). Line appears to be broken in an area the previous tech who re-ran lines couldn't access safely by himself (the steep part of the roof slope). Assuming they can get roof access (which they should be able to), techs with the right safety gear allegedly supposed to fix it tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Allegedly. I might just get internet back...

Fresh press apple cider. I'm wiped.

Worked outside from 7 am until about a half an hour ago.

Finished everything that needed to be done before snow flies.

Coffee. I tried to plan a day off for a brew day without rain. The shed doesn't quite sit in an idea area that doesn't make things a muddy mess for me (yet). But either I work or I brew and frankly, I need to brew. To:dr

Coffee.

I just got a box of beer this week shipped in a beer box. The one time I re-purposed a box that had beer printed on it, the guy at FedEx Office refused to take it. My FedEx sucks. :(

I put a shipment in a box that previously held growlers. I was asked if there was beer in it and I lamely said "No, it has... glass... fixtures, yeah!" they accepted it.

SN Hoptimum. It's a big beer.

You playing pocket pool or something?

Been drinking all weekend. Had two Founders Breakfast stouts on friday night followed by a Guinness and a small glass of wine. Couldnt figure out why I was hung over the next morning, then it was pointed out that someone was handing out very potent jello shots.
Saturday was a visit to a winery for a tasting and a beer with lunch.
Yesterday I inherited a fair bit of grain, some hops and bottles, and then went to top golf for a old Lagunitas IPA.

I really didnt drink all that much this weekend. Can we get rid of DST please? Even though I appreciate the 'extra' hour of sleep I prefer to have more evening daylight.

Full throttle.

Yeah, sleep came too early last night. Wife woke me up this morning telling me that the fridge quit working. It's a year old.

I jumped out of bed all pissed off (had another hour to sleep), go to check it out.

The light had burned out.

Move to AZ, we don't participate in DST. It really screws with you when everyone else's time changes though.

Getting ready to fire up the espresso machine. I go into work an hour later than I used to because of everyone else's time change so I may kill the extra time with a cigar after breakfast.

Coffee while posting about my missing older brother I just found out about last night.

Good luck finding your brother.

One more French press. Yesterday felt like a lost day as I spent it recuperating from too much post-trick-or-treating scotch. I'll have a little tonight while bottling at the LHBS and then I will be dry for a week. Not by choice, but having minor surgery on Friday and have been told no drinking for 3 days before or after. :(

Coffee got an early start cause it's finally raining on CA! I think I heard some one say cats and dogs will soon be sleeping together.

Water. Great weekend for beer! Brewed up a second version of my Brett Brawl while drinking some, which is drinking fantastic right now. If you have one, drink it! (@wesleys ) :D

I had entered a few homebrews in a somewhat local HB comp on Saturday. Wanted to see how my oktoberfest was per style since its not something I drink all the time and it was my first lager. Also entered my hefe which mysteriously soured during bottling and I think consistently tastes like a pretty good berliner. I wanted to see just how close it was to a classic berliner. Got the results back from the comp yesterday. Oktoberfest won Gold in Category 3 with a 42. The "berliner" won Silver in category 17 with a 39. Couldnt be happier.

And to top it off, the Royals are world champs! Lots of fireworks going off in Manhattan last night. Not the losing Manhattan. :D

Also, thanks to @kal for sponsoring the Hall of Foamers HB Comp and for their copy of "The Complete Guide to Building Your Brewery". :rockin:

Congratulation on HB results!
Prepping to keg a stout, still working on the GS.

Congrats on the home-brew!

Water with soup for lunch. Now to put away the Halloween decorations...
