That sounds fantastic. Not sure my Christmas beer list would appreciate a Scotch Ale as much as a stout.

There's probably a high degree of crossover. My scotch barrel scotch ale has been used for very special Christmas presents the past couple of years. Anybody that likes a good stout should be very pleased with something like that. Obviously more caramel than coffee, but it's also a big malty beer style. I'm also considering doing a Pumpkinator type stout for the holidays this year.

Water.

There's a 12 pack of home brew sitting in the visitor's chair in front of my desk. I do get to leave for Dallas right after lunch, where I won't be drinking HB until I can share it tomorrow. Probably Miller time though.

Coffee, about to eat lunch early so Miller time can come early.

Jealous. Need.

Just ran all over town getting gifts for my wife... nothing like waiting until the last minute. But, if I didn't... she would know what I was up to, so, go me.

Worst part, I only got to have one Busch Light before I got back to work. So... 1 Busch Light, no food, carry the 3, yeah, starving and 1 beer = not enough.

The sacrifices I make...

Coffee.

Suggestions for a beer to brew to give away at Christmas? I usually do a porter or stout but am open to other ideas. I'm thinking I'll brew it in the next 2 weeks and age it a bit.

Dubbel or Quad?

Lemonade. Jurassic World was pretty good.

Gotta step up your game, man. Buying gifts the day of is something I'd expect from a Busch light drinker.

this weekend was interesting.

went to go out with my brother on sat night and he decided to rear end a truck- i was in the passenger side, no seatbelt, and was on my phone, the air bag forced my phone and hands into my face and i essentially double punched myself in the face... 2 big black eyes and cuts in my mouth- other than being sore and uglier than i normally am everyone is fine... good thing it was before we got to the bar, nothing broken and no concussion... i guess i should count my blessings

Glad to hear everyone is ok.

More water. I stand by my idea to drink more than a quart of KBS last night.

Terrible idea. You should have stuck to half a quart and sent the rest to me.

Thats Busch league.

You know... it's these kinds of comments that perpetuate a culture of hatred and intolerance.

We are not cured of this BMC hate, and it's not just a matter of not being polite to call someone a "redneck swillhound" in public.

That's not the measure of whether Beerism still exists or not. It's not just a matter of overt discrimination. Societies don't, overnight, completely erase everything that happened with the coming of craft beer.

Did you make it to the bar at least?

Good to hear you escaped unscathed. Kind of.

And you are telling them the obligatory "You should see the other guy/gal" Then elaborate up to more and more unbelievable stories and see what people fall for. Stuff like you were at the strip club helping pay a generously proportioned young lady pay off her 'student loans' when something grabbed her attention and she rapidly turned hitting you in the face and causing wiplash with some of her 'assets'.

Heal up quick!

I need suggestions for low ABV but great beer. After my brew day from hell, I was cleaning the pool and one of the dogs got stung by a wasp, which caused all three dogs to go nuts and tangle up. Usually I let them do their thing and then separate them when there is a break in the "action," but this particular fight was bad...the hound wasn't letting go of the lab's neck, and the little mutt dog was throwing in random bites at both of the others just because.

Six puncture wounds, a few torn muscles, a Tetanus shot, some Norco, and a few antibiotics later, and I'm back at home hoping to regain full use of my left arm as quickly as possible.

Due to the pain med (which contains Acetaminophen that I usually avoid at all costs), I'm worried about drinking my usual stuff that has a higher alcohol content. So, suggestions?

Tylenol and ethanol are both metabolized in the liver so if you are concerned about toxicity dont drink while on Narco. Not to mention mixing opioids and ethanol which is also a bad idea.

I'm aware, which is why I want a low ABV beer, so I can still enjoy beer but not have as much of a risk.
