Another lagunitas maximus...

My shirron plate chiller was working great for the first 2 gallons but then I had all sorts of problems... I think it's related to my pickup in the kettle, but the chiller might have been plugged up with hops (pellet). Any recommendations /people who have had similar problems? Do any other chillers have larger spacing between plates to reduce this problem? I think it's primarily my pickup, because at times it slows down out stops working. Anyhow, had to dump the rest into the primary with a funnel, letting it chill in the keezer before I pitch the yeast starter. Crap, that was long-winded... Time for another beer :mug:

I use hop bags and have had good luck with that. Smart water for now.

Stayed up way too late last night. Been slowly recovering all day. Now back on the beer. Cockamouse IIPA.

Heading up the block with the second pour. The guitar playing alerted my father that I have free time. Gonna go wrench. Word to the wise, do not buy a house a block away from your parents.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking when we bought our house. We're only a few houses down from my in-laws. Worst mistake ever.

On my 8th or 9th pint of water after that mammoth dinner. Ice cream. Coffee. And a cookie. I've never felt fatter. Done for the day. Trying to make it for the UConn women vs. Maryland. I am shot.

It isn't coincidence, one benefit of marrying a military kid.

The in laws tend to move occasionally and now her dad is retired and I know they aren't moving back here.

Although we get a long pretty well, he loves sour beers!

Still on water. Waiting for the Sudafed to kick in to make the move to beer.
