The lolo saison that im loving right now! This is one of the better saisons that I have tried! Was really foamy from the cap pop! Maybe I should have let it sit for longer.

This thanks to schnizzle.

Sweet and a little tart. Not much Brett character to speak of. This probably could've benefitted from some aging.

TNGabe's Rhubarb Iris (think I got that right), nice soft sourness, tart with a great aroma. Another hearty pat on the back for this one Gabe, really tasty

Close enough. I call that one life of the mind. I made some changes for batch 2, really close to 100% dialed.

Haha it's not mine but he is like a kind gentle bear.
Gabe do you still have a BASC to trade? :) :)

I 'only' got 4. Sent one for the MAW and traded the other 3 already. Blame DC. Couldn't pass up an Atrial Rubicite. I'll drag the wife along next time. Lindley Park is next down here. Going to try and get that, Olde Rabbit's Foot, and Event Horizon, and probably regular SC when it's out in Feb.

I've still got som HF growlers with homebrew for you.

water. went home sick today. I don't even feel like a beer right now.

Blergh. Get some sleep. Hope ya feel better.

AS11? If you like it I can send you some.

Looking forward to it! Your box has made it to CT. Should be there tomorrow.

Biere de Creme with some Pad Thai here. Sipped on Professor Caterpillar all afternoon. Got 30 qts of tomatoes canned today, about 75 lbs.

Gabe,

Saison:
as11, 12 (blend) 13 (with brett)

Belgian;
AH 12 (pale, golden, great for hoppy Belgians) 15 (dubbel characters), 16 (tripel strain), 31 (high tolerance golden characteristics)

Stout:

AB1 (Belgian stout), AB53 (dark quad characters)

Want them all? I've got some American styles too that I'm working on but they aren't proven yet. They come with full characteristic sheets too.

I'm not sure I'll get around to using all of them in a reasonable amount of time, but I'm sure folks in my club would love to try the ones I don't use. A friend told me he was wanting to do an Odyssey clone, so I'm sure he'd be excited about the AB1. I should have sent you some WLP072 to play with. It's my current favorite. Do you think any of the strains you've got going would be well suited to BdG? I've been trying to use wlp072 in other styles and have been very pleased. I think I need to get down to just 2 strains for brewery. One for saison and saisonish things and one for everything else. I've been thinking 3726 and wlp072, but I did order some more 3942 to play with.

Iqhilika African fig mead. Ratings descriptions of this are all over the place. Its highlights are to me: Smokey and tea,and rich fruit but at the same time light fruit and at the same time not strong in fruit-Im not talking banannas here(pun just recocognized). Most memerable so far of maybe like a dozen Ive tried and most have been cloyinly sweet. This is the most authentic one so far Ive tried (after all-they origionated in Africa) unless you count Vikings Blod,as far as authenticly(Havent tried B-nectar yet-or found it)-which is like an imperial-imperial mead and pretty authentic but really rich not to mention 19%. (Vikings Blod)
Sorry bout the runon sentences-dont really feel like cleaning it up, I already delabled and cleaned beer bottles thats enough cleaning for me. :)

Did you not read the can Doh! Oh well I may have to send another to try again;-)

I read the can, but all it says is that it will continue to mature in the can. I would expect there to be some Brett character by now though.
Oh well, it's not horrible how it is, but it's just nothing like it should be.

Austin Beerworks Wet Hop IPA. Not sure if it was because I kicked the keg, but this pint is definitely not as hoppy as it was last week. Tasty but I remember it being in your face

This one is awesome. Reminds me a lot of FW Double Jack with the dank and resinous hop character. Definitely going to have one or two more tonight. Might even finish the four pack.

Yeah? I've been seeing this on draft all over the city lately. Gonna have to give it a try.

Gawd this Expedition stout is the shiz nit. Going to age a couple. Hopefully I can get more for drinking too.

You guys finally talked me into it! I had to sell my soul for this bottle, but it's a way better choice than shiner bock! This stuff is really good! I was worried it would be like drinking maple syrup based on the smell, but luckily it wasn't! I will definitely buy this again!!
